Re: AMBUSH - Holister & team captured!

Sorry that took so long Jo, but I liked the concept we were working on, so I got myself a much more permanent access to their systems... took a little more than just hacking though. Important safety tip: when involved in what ammounts to electronic corporate espionage, take the time to make an accou...

Re: How Prepared Are We - Detecting the Evil

Again, most of the things that are easily detected by spotting the thing that doesn't fit in are the new kids on the block. Don't expect to find the guys who have been here for a generation or two slipping up like that, and I am certain that there are some who have been here that long.

As to wheather there are people being more suceptable.. definately. There are strong minded people and there are weak minded people... Hell, even in normal life, there are people who are just too stubborn to follow what you tell them to do. And I would guess that much of the power to magicly control...

Re: Not at home

Bank records can be hard to get, unless there is an active investigation... Or unless you work for the IRS. They pretty much have access to money transactions from most major banks. Problem is you need to have a target for any search with them. either a bank account, or a name to go with a bank acco...

I'm in D.C. currently, but have access to some field equipment. More likely I'll just hook up with my contact in the Dept. of Defense here. Their infectious disease research institute is top notch. Get in touch. It is, and getting use of it is not all that hard, but be warned, all use of it is logg...

Re: Bringing it all together

I'll repeat what I said before... there is no real security here, you can't easily find out info on anyone from this list. I could probably track someone down who posts here, but not with any reliable accuracy, and not without a field person who is doing the legwork... If it is security here you are...

I don't care who it is that meets me, but I can probably find ron for you, and I can probably get a lot more info on what's going on around here than you have had on hand, given a few min to know what you might need that is.

We have members with police connections, I'm sure we also have members with criminal connections. We just need to use them more oftain if we want information. As to comunication between members and being able to help out in the field... Well, the two best lines of communication for us here are this ...

You will always be suspicious of us, as you must be. Still, I judge you by how you act around me. Ron and I will never be friends, I trust Holister and Master Li with my life, and I consider many others my friends. Pretty much agree with this... No matter how you look at it, to most of the supernat...

Re: How Prepared Are We?

Our preparation is poor. We allow the enemy to choose the time and place of contact due to being a predominately reactive force. We lack any real organization, as well as any planning worth speaking of when working as teams. All together our society is honestly one of the most ill-prepared for what...

Re: How Prepared Are We - Debunking False Claims

Actualy, I've never had this problem. If I ever show up on a site where it is a false claim I can usualy spot it within a few seconds... But I fully admit that I am probably unique in this, and I also admit that when I have gone out to take a look at someplace I tend to do more actual research on it...

Re: How Prepared Are We - Security Inside the Society

Lets be honest here. Our only protection on this board is secrecy. It doesn't take a super hacker to get in here. It isn't a difficult thing to get an account on this board, and it only get easier the more people are in here. If there is something about you that you don't want the evil mastermind to...

Re: How Prepared Are We - Security in The Field

I'm not sure this is something that can easily be improved upon. Realize that while people here are understandably trained to be combatants, most of them are self trained as individuals. In order to improve security in the field, you would need to start learning group tactics, and recognition codes,...

Frankly, for the most part, you don't. Unless it makes an impact on society that screams out "EVIL THING HERE" Most of the things out there are not going to be found. Until they start to screw up, there is usualy no good way to find them. Oh sure, there are people who can sense these thing...

How do you know they are rare occurences if most people can't sense them? The odds of someone who can being in the same place as one of them, and actualy looking for one at that particular time are kinda astronomical. All any of these things need to do is lay low a little bit and nobody can realy do...

I don't know, I think in reality all of society needs some sort of policing. I also think that most of the different "species" you are talking about realy can't be policed by your average guys with a badge and some jail time. As long as the people you are hunting are actualy a threat to so...
