Well its that time of year again when we start plannin' our Memorial Day BBQ up here at Cypress Cove. This year it would seem we can all use a break.
Like last time the festivities last throughout the entire weekendand inlcude food, fun, and fishin'. They opened a new B&B that overlooks the cove and the CG says that Cove Beach should be cleared for visitors long before then.
The lake is also stocked and teamin' with planty of trout and bass this year; caught me a bunch this past weekend.
Plus as an added bonus Kelly has The Brick up and runnin' plus we expanded into the old feed store next door. Put in a huge wide screen TV, expanded the bar, and put in a WiFi hub.
Also Carter is quite happy with the work that Joe's doin' and has been in contact with the Robert Joseph Mach of The Lazlo Agency about making the Annex an offical branch of The Lazlo Agency.
Mr. Mach may even be comin' up here that weekend to inspect the Annex and talk business with Carter.
Way to go Carter. If he knew who I was he'ld probably revoke my Society membership.
Well thats it for now. Hope to see ya'll there.

I'm already working on Dad. He needs a break in the worst way.
I will be who I chose to be.

I think I shall stay for the event, I may even have a small seminar on what I have learned lately about every-one's favorite nasty, the kyuuketsuki.
Understanding, is not a thing that comes swiftly, but rather in stages, a journey that once begun, must be seen to it's end.

Not a problem, sheriff.
I am curious about the far side of the lake, town records show that the 3 acre plot has been town property for longer than the purchase records go back (I assume an accident claimed some city archive or another, fairly common on older archives.)

We always had a problem with that. The town records only go back like 30 years or so. A fire claimed most of them back in 76". Before that it was water & mold damage from a leaky roof back in 1948. So good to luck to ya' dealin' with ol' Maggie (aka: the town records clerk) and her cats (17). That is one strange duck right there.

She is odd, but when I told her what it was for, she became much more helpfull, even checking for paper records not in her computer. The soil around the lake would be marvelous for cherry trees, I was trying to look up who to talk to before tresspassing to plant a few on the other side of the lake. Pink from Ise Jingu, and white from Fushimi Inari Taisha, would make a wonderfull accent.
