Drought Uncovers Artifacts in Fla. Lake
I wonder if there was anything else that was trapped underneath the lake with them? I have heard that some entities possess objects.

No, I was just speculating. Seems to me that bad things end up at the bottom of the lake. For instance the steamship they found, I am sure that not all the people aboard made it to sure the day it sunk. There are probably some negative emotions there to waiting to be fed upon by entities and the like.

You have to remember you are talking about a time before aircraft and other modern forms of transportation. People generally didn't wander off the beaten path for fun back then since the odds were good that it could result in your death.

On a related note, apparently a lake has vanished in Chile.
