Help identifying this "thing"

This is my first post here, being my first real encounter with the supernatural beyond my writings. I have written many books about creatures, spirits, and otherworldly being before in a fictitious mannor and have done my research on the matter but never seriously believed in any of it. I know alot of the legends revolving supernatural beings but need some help with identifying this entity.

I first noticed it a while back while recording a verbal brainstorming session, and picked up some EVP on my tape recorder. On playback, I could hear chanting or something in another language being spoken by many voices.

I put this down to a bad tape and an overactive imagination, but now I can see strange silhouettes at night moving in unison ourside my home. On one snowy day handprints materialized right before my eyes on snowy windows and someone had drawn strange symbols in the frost with a finger I could not see.

My house is new, and I am the first inhabitant, so I figued that this is not some "get out of my house" horror story. I did some more research, got a cryptologist friend of mine working on the symbols, and tried to find what this land was before it was built upon. No luck at all. All my research yielded was the existence of the lazlo society and a short biography of Victor Lazlo.

My house is in a rural area and is rather large. I have lived here for about 6 months and it is situated in an open area. Can anyone help me figure out what this thing , or group of things, is/are? I am also looking for a copy of "Worlds Within Worlds", which may help me to understand.

Ouch, sound bad. I know more about the physical stuff, not really the spiritual/intangible. KT or one of the other guys that know more about that sort of thing might know.

You may have some vengeful ghosts who do not want to stay quiet in the night. You may want to investigate whether or not your living on Native land. Their spirits have a reputation of disliking the modern. They could be attempting to out you from your dwelling.

I know one weakness, rock salt. I bought a bunch of rock salt shotgun shells and borrowed a friend's gun (same friend who is translating the aforementioned symbols. Last night I saw some flickering light out in the field and thought they were trying to set fire to the forest near my home, so I rushed out with my new weapon in hand.

I ran to the light and found this huge shape forming out of mist about 7 feet off the ground. I fired a shot at it and the mist blew outwards, dispersing and filling the area with obscuring mist. A hollow humanoid shape in the mist (meaning the mist actually formed around this thing) approached me with its arms flailing and I could hear that deep chanting again (same as the EVP) so I unloaded the other barrel into the silhouette.

This seemed to scare it off as the shape dissapeared. I checked the area but could find only a glowing symbol that I learned to be the same as the final symbol in the message left that snowy night (I keep notes).

This morning I found the symbol burned into the ground at that spot, like a black etching. I figure that symbol is the name of some creature or some holy word to these beings. What intregued me most was that they somehow can affect the physical world (by parting the mist). I also think I saw more shapes in the mist. What could these things be?

It might be an entity or entities. There are a few varieties of them and they are supposed to be attracted to areas along what are known as Dragon Lines. Perhaps you should ask Shang Li if the location of your house is along one of those.

It definitely sounds like these things are threatening and hostile. Approach these things with caution... Using a symbol could be a sign that they're tied to some kind of demon, but I'd need to see the symbol before I could help you further with that. Is there any way you could post it for us?

He probably realised it was the creaking of the door upstairs and put some wd-40 on it. That's my educated guess.

pm me with an adress and i will send you some joss to bless the place and then ward it along with instructions on how to use them. it sounds a lot like a typical entity likes the place. if you can send me a recording of the chanting i might be able to get it deciphered. (i have something of an ear for identifying languages and some of my old associates still work in various universities and museums in Kyoto an Tokyo)

I think I have a theory about this whole thing. After doing some reading around and research I believe that whatever kind of entity this is, it (or they) are feeding off the emotions surrounding a demon cult that attempted to summon their master. If I am right then they are simply repeating that action and I managed to inturrupt it. I know they are not gone, they are moving around my house, scraping something on the outside walls. I'm not sure how to deal with this and I think That they will eventually summon the demon if I do not act soon. Help!

You need to find yourself a good psychic that is able to perform a ritual cleansing for you. If your theory is correct, the entities are probably drawn to the negative energy caused by the cult. If you can cleanse the energy out then they have nothing to feed off of.

Of everyone on here, Shang Li probably could direct you best in this matter.
