Heading to Egypt
My friends,
I've been contracted to consult on a new find in Egypt near the Gilf Kebir Plauteau by a Ms. Catherine Ross. She has made it clear that I am being contacted due to my extracuricular activities and not my area of expertise. This woman's presence makes me feel like someone is walking over my grave.
I will keep everyone posted on the outcome.

Egypt, a fun place.

Anything yet?
Someone has to man the "reality check station" around here, and it might as well be me.

Re: Heading to Egypt
I've been in the desert long enough to know that I HATE SAND!
Apparently, not contacting the outside world was an unstated part of my contract. When we got there, we were told that all bandwidth on the satellite was prioritized for research requests. Reasonable, but annoying. Today is the first time I've been somewhere civilized since I arrived.
Things are going slowly. I'm cooling my heels a lot, as there isn't much for me to do. The only things we've come across that fall into my area have turned out to be inert.
I hope things stay this way.

Re: Heading to Egypt
I wish someone would pay me to be bored.
Any takers?
Hmmm. That might not be such a bad gig. Get some goody-goody philanthropist to pay me to NOT do that voodoo that I do do, so well.
Seriously, any takers? No? Oh well.
In any case, Jackie Berry, just keep in mind that if there's one thing that's worse than sand, it's bloody sand. Worse still if it's your blood.

Please don't use the B-word on these boards. Everytime someone does, something terrible happens.
Konrad Andreas is at peace. I am something new.

What is your area of expertise?
What kind of extracurricular[sic] activities?
What was inert?
Hydrate or die (but not before the hallucinations make you think weird shit that isn't real is real).
Question everything.

Re: Heading to Egypt
Hi all, I back in civilization for the day. My benefactor visited us again today. That feeling she gives my was worse the second time I talked to her. I'm thinking about quiting.
I'm a professor of Comparative Religion, though that isn't my job on this dig. I'm contracted to evaluate anything we find as to its origins (i.e. what made it ). I was chosen for this do to the fact that I've made this my hobby. So far we've only found some broken pottery and jewelry that I found to be non-reactive to certain energies.
I hope this answers your questions.
I'll be here another year. I hope I can get into town more often in the future.
