Selling The Brick

Post by Kelly »

Hello ladies and gents.

You know me; Kelly up here at Cypress Cove and the beer jockey at The Brick. Well.....I have an announcement. I am finally selling The Brick and moving to Wyoming with Benny and Molly.

They need me... :D

I have mailed out those pictures to Raz and SS, and I have several others I have mailed to everyone who attended the BBQ.

As for The Brick. I am putting it up for sale. So I figured why not give you folks a shot at it.

The whole Annex idea could have worked, if Derik got his head out his ass and had installed a working security system. Seriously.....

Anyway everyone....I thought I should let you all know that it goes on the market Monday. After 85 years...The Brick will be closing its doors.

Sad yes, but its a worth while exchange.

Sure. We can discuss this. I would hate to see the place closed down.

Maybe we can work something out?

That would be great Kell. I know how much you love that ol' place. It would kill me to see you give it just to come out to Wyoming with Molly and me.

Cash, but I'm not paying more than half a mill.
So if no deals are made, consider me interested.

Golly, an offer!

Post by Clarity »

_____Golly, an offer on the table? How does that happen? Is that kind of like an offering? I had a dream about a table. I was tied down to it and a man without a face was cutting me open with a strange knife shaped like a triangle.
_____I didn’t really like that dream. I wish I had more nice dreams like Shang. His always make me feel happy. But my dream made me feel . . . strange.

I've always heard about Victor Lazlo when I was growing up, know some folks that knew him, if only briefly, so I've decided to put a little cash on the side to help out.

What pushed where, exactly?
Something in your life binding you somehow, perhaps?
Maybe you're feeling anxious or desperate or confused in ways that may feel like your hands are tied?
Perhaps there is somebody you want to contact or to help or to tell something but just can't for some reason?

What does “pro bono” mean?

_____Hi, Skeptic. Thanks. But I think Hannah and Ethan are helping me a lot. What does “pro bono” mean?

My door is always open, Clarity.
pro bono is Latin which means "for the good".
It's also used to describe services free of charge.

Feh. What it really means is, "The pro is about to be boned."

Were you talking to me back then?

Post by Clarity »

_____Were you talking to me back then, Skeptic? Not really, at least not that I haven’t already shared. Ethan is doing a lot better though, and he’s been looking stuff up on the internet for me, too. He gets tired quickly, but he’s also recuperating a lot faster than the nurses thought he would. I hope it’s almost time to leave.

The question "Any updates you want to share?" was indeed for you, Clarity.
It would seem, however, that currently Ethan is unable to help you in his condition.
I'm concerned, perhaps you are taking on too much responsibility and it's overwhelming you.
After all, that is almost precisely the source of the distress in your dreams.

Are you sure, Skeptic?

Post by Clarity »

_____Are you sure, Skeptic? Ethan seems fine to me, and he’s helped me a lot by just coming back, you know. Right now he’s going for a walk with one of the nurses, and I heard him her ask if he could have his IV’s removed soon. She seemed very eager to please him, though I don’t know why.
_____P.S. I haven’t had any dreams or visions since I last saw Ethan kneeling on the floor because of the chains.
_____P.S. Again. Maybe I am a little confused though. I thought that Mr. Nemesis said he was going pro bono, and when he said it had something to do with bones, that he must be turning into a skeleton.
_____P.S. Again, again. I looked “pro bono” up. It also means good, rightly, morally. But maybe Mr. Nemesis was talking about its slang meaning. I’ll look that up next.

*Ahem*

Miss Grace,

Perhaps you don't need to look up the slang? I shall explain it for you.

I am not turning into a skeleton (although I am far from fat). I'm simply pointing out that when a pro works for free, they're getting the shaft.

Hopefully that will clear things up.

:)

Of course I'm not sure.
That's why I asked you.

Post by Clarity »

_____It didn’t, Mr. Nemesis. But Ethan told me what you were probably referring to. I don’t think it was a very nice thing to say, either. It helps me wonder if you were being sincere before, about telling you if someone calls me a “retard” ever again.
_____P.S. You helped Ethan swear when I told him what you wrote.
_____P.S. Again. Could you please stop?
_____P.S. Again, again. I liked it when you told your stories. I couldn’t ever tell if they happened or not, but they didn’t help me feel embarrassed.

My dear Miss Grace,

I am always quite sincere about all I say. Even those things which are somewhat off color in their syntax.

However, since you asked so very nicely, I shall endeavor to clean up my language here. I cannot and therefore will not promise to never be colorful in my speech, only that I will try to be more conscious of your sensabilities in the future.

P.S. The lesson to be learned here is that when we ask questions, they are sometimes answered.

I would be interested in buying "The Brick". I am still interested in seeing the annex developed, I believe I have the skills and resources to make that happen. I was once offered to come up and help train some individuals, but never received any details.

Either way, I am willing to acquire The Brick and pay in cash.
