Yeah, and I'd have wanted to hear what happened, too. Are you ok?

Yes, Logos was tried as an accomplice to "my crimes". None of it held water. Logos was there to sniff out a man who's dodged his parole officer, on a tipoff. It's on police records. The rest of us got a distress signal from Logos over a personal radio device. Communications WERE handled in our group by radio. her police radio had been destroyed by an enraged cultist. All this is sadly true.
Now, in cases of assault, when death appears imminent, you are allowed by law to meet this force with lesser or equal force. Many of the cultists had guns, and since she was there on police business, and the rest of us had fear of death, we're in the clear, since all weapons were registered and legal. Ours were, anyway. Theirs... not so much.
The death of James warranted just as much time in the courts as everyone else's deaths - that is to say a good deal of it. It was questioned "How, if he was invisible to you did you know where to see him? The prosecution's diagram shows that the shadow was rather large." His gun gave off enough of a distinct glint for me to know exactly what it was, and where it was pointed. Equal or lesser force. Forensics were, largely unable to detect two extra people on the scene - There were a LOT of corpses, so it wasn't difficult to keep one sister of a deceased individual and one Mr. Pendragon out of the courts. I doubt the dept. would have backed us up at all had Logos not shown the captain the Lazlo society. He peruses the site daily, now, and keeps fairly close tabs on local affairs that the Society tackles. It took a long while, but Capt. Scooter now trusts much of what he reads here to be credible. Sadly, I don't think Lazlo discussions would hold in a court of law, and as such, he finds himself unable to react to many of the things here unless the data is backed by a more mainstream or normal investigation.

Until public education as to the existence of supernatural threats to society is increased, unfortunate things such as that will continue to be the way of things. The fact that everyone who had been working at this station before a certain date agrees that there's much, MUCH more to this world than meets the eye, and that at least 3 of whom frequent the society says nothing at all to you? Pretty biased of you, to gloss over things like that.
I ask you again, though, that if you are to make negative observations, comments, or thoughts towards the Society at large, please do it elsewhere. This is a dedication.

So you actually used the monster/magic defence in court successfully?
Last time I did I ended up in an asylumn for a year.
“Glossed over,” Ms. Dawes? It was a tragedy . . .

“Glossed over,” Ms. Dawes? It was a tragedy and an accident. It is a dedication because we will all mourn his death; all of us that knew him, at any rate. It is not murder; the trigger wasn’t pulled out of unprovoked, malicious intent. It is not a cover up because the facts are laid bare here.Heather Dawes wrote:But your right. There is no way to prove this and I said I wouldn't precede with investigating it, but please spare me the dedication and the 'masses need education' crap.
Ms. Dawes . . . please recall, your unique outlook on the supernatural is in the minority here. Like a Protestant among Evangelicals . . . there are bound to be a few disagreements on the vernacular meaning of the term “dedication.”
We’re trying to remember those who died in our cause. They were brave souls willing to lay down their lives for their beliefs.

A pleasure to meet you Miss Dawes. I am glad to see a few reporters still check their facts before printing wild stories as actual news. People like you are what keeps people like me in work. It is so much easier to sanitize a scene and deal with witnesses when the news is so dependant on evidence and reports, witch can be made to dissapear or be altered, or even on occassion merely classified, in the intrests of "national security".

I showed Clarity this thread and she told me to check this.

Which is surprising, considering she's never been on this site without me.
