Assault and Murder (A dedication)
I'm sorry for the delays. our group has... well, we've had a lot to muck through since then... Angel, I'm so...
It was only slightly chilly that night. We were dispersing from the final rendezvous to get to our respective attack points. I was getting fidgety as we got nearer - Even from outside, the house looked out of place, and I'm certain it wasn't just the remnants of barricade tape that were tattered about the perimeter. Even the small shrine outside, with fresh flowers placed in memoriam didn't make the scene any less eerie, with knowing that this was one of the infamous "Jigsaw" houses. We discussed the plan one more time as I checked my medical supplies - supplies we would need badly once we got inside. Almost before I was finished, we heard gunshots from inside.

At which point, Pendragon decided to take me and...James...around back while K and Logos went in through the front. We pretty much followed Pen's lead, to be perfectly honest.
You traded in your wings
For everything freedom brings
You never left me
You never let me
See what this feeling means
Everything that you feel
Is everything that I feel
So when we dream
We shout....

We shout....

We hit the back entrance as I tossed in a couple of flashbangs. (No sense in worrying about overkill. ). Afterwards I made my grand entrance thru the mudroom; activating an interesting trap. The washer and more importantly the gas dryer were located in this mudroom. As I stepped in, I must have hit a tripwire or pressure plate or something. The bottom, front panel on the GAS dryer opened and a jet of flam spouted out. I immediately dove forward into what was the kitchen. That was a bad idea.
In the kitchen were a couple of cultists, a Debuke (sp?),2 flesh zombies and I think a vampire or two. Well I immediately went into overtime with my mp5's. James and Susan and their friend "will" joined in. I am afraid I beleive their were in over their heads. This particular fight was nasty. I took a couple of hits. The stove was another trap, as was the microwave. At one point the lights went out and the room went pitch black. I heard both Susan and James scream out, with James screaming the loudest. I was even able to make out details of their spirit friend Will (and this was without using any mentail strength to do so).
When the lights came on, James was missing, but all the baddies were down/dead/dying.

Logos here. I have to apologize for the extended delays - more on that later.
Koralth and I prepared to infiltrate the front while the others set up around back. On my signal, Kor pulled the pin on the grenade Pendragon gave us, and I bodyslammed the door. Unfortunately, the new residents apparently expected something like that, and the hinges were set to break away when stricken too hard. As the door fell to the ground, I heard excited mumbling and gasps, and one exceptionally prepared cultist opened fire on me before I caught my balance. I was hit once in the chest by the madman, but thanks to Pendragon's preparations and supplies, I was wearing a vest. I was knocked backwards through the door, and scrambled to get behind the wall for cover.
As soon as the door was out of the way, I threw that flashbang right into the center of the room (or as close to as I could from where I was standing). I knew they were expecting us, but *ahem* I had no CLUE that many people were waiting for us on the other side of that door. I froze the second Raem was hit - I wasn't sure if she was alright or not, but when she scrambled for cover, I realized I needed to do the same.
Cliche as it sounds, those few moments it took for the flashbang to go off seemed to drag on as more cultists joined in the shooting. Finally, the much awaited burst of sound went off, and with it came a cultist flying out the door, guns ablaze.
As he came through that door, I, still recovering from the shock of getting shot, raised my piece on him. The cultist, obviously deranged, was shooting randomly at trees, cars, and anywhere else he thought someone might be. He turned and saw Kor, and was changing his aim as I put a bullet through his back. He paused, which provoked another several shots from me before he fell to the ground. Not wasting any time, I switched my clip and put the first one in my pocket - I couldn't waste any ammo, and there were too many people in that room to go in without a full clip. I nodded to Kor, and the two of us burst into the room of debilitated cultists, this time, it was us who did the shooting. One who hadn't been blinded by the blast threw a knife that lodged itself in the door frame - he was my next target. Koralth's clip ran out first - he was running it on full automatic. He ducked back behind the door to reload as I finish up my clip and do the same. Another cultist rushed out of the room. This one knew exactly where he wanted to shoot, and he turned and faced Kor.
I slammed the new clip into my UMP just in time to turn and take a bullet to the gut. Pendragon, you saved both of us with your equipment, I can't stress it enough how important these vests are on raids. I fell backwards with the force of the shot, and fired off several rounds as I fell, none of them meeting their mark. He, too, continued firing at me, but was too excited to take proper aim.
Logos whipped him upside the head with her pistol, and he fell to the ground. He spun around to start firing at her, but she leapt on him, shoving his gun aside, and whipped him again with her unloaded gun. This time, he was knocked unconscious.
I took cover again, and loaded another clip into my gun - I wondered how long the ammo would hold up at this point, if we weren't even through the front door and had already used a clip. My gut wrenched as I heard exactly what I didn't want to - the cultists were starting to recover from the flashbang. They wouldn't be entirely defenseless, but if we hurried, they'd still be at a disadvantage. Kor and I burst around the corner once more...

This time, as we entered, some of them were definitely coming out of their blindness, but fortunately, still found it difficult to aim. Logos and I set out to finish the rest of them off- we really knew there wasn't time to spare. Luckily for us, the remaining cultists were tougher to finish. They were mostly handled before they regained their senses, but several laid low until they could get a handle on the situation. These ones were tricky, and knew exactly what they were doing. Between firing off several volleys back and forth with the remaining four cultists and listening to the fighting going on on the other side of the house, this seemed to take hours, but all in all, the shoot-out only took a minute or two. Fortunately, one of the cultists panicked when he realized he had run out of ammunition, and got up to run. Seeing him get gunned down was pretty bad for morale, and the another 'slipped up' on his timing shortly afterwards. Logos and I, having conserved our ammo (we had a long way to go if we weren't even through the front door yet!), just had to play it cool until we found our openings.
