[Ron Caliburn]

This isn't strictly about Lazlo, but the results of what apparently has been a year long membership drive for my family are in.

It started last year with just Hannah and I. Me running my business in Washington and her going to school in New York.

Then, last spring, Darcy moved in with me.

A little after that she and I found Cynthia.

Now, here's the parts we've mostly kept secret. Just before summer started we discovered that Darcy was expecting. After no real discussion of the point we slipped rings on each others fingers in a a little chapel up Niagra Falls way. In the process we also did the paperwork to make Cynthia's adoption legal and permanent.

This fall the three of us moved to New York and Clarity moved in with us. She's technically a guest still, but for all practical purposes she's become another daughter for Darcy and I.

Early next year we'll see the birth of the twins, bringing our family count to 7 under the Grant name.

I am still somewhat in a state of shock and feeling quite outnumbered at this point, but I also haven't been this happy in years.

I won't be quite as available to help out as I used to, between redrafting my business, taking care of a busy household and finding time to sneak off for a honeymoon I'll probably be fairly busy.

Busy, not retired. I'll still be around if lives are at stake, don't worry about that. Heck, I might be able to bring my own reinforcements.

It's about time you finally came out of the closet on all this. Keeping it bottled up all this time was making me fit to eat glass.

So yeah, congratulations to my father and his beautiful wife Darcy.

Also welcome to the family to my two sisters Clarity and Cynthia.

Finally, I am happily awaiting the arrival of two more siblings who I am sure will take after their coolest sister, me.

I am reminded how lucky I am every time I open my eyes in the morning.

This has been a challenging year, but also quite rewarding.
