Vampires No Longer Camera Shy

Post by Cybermancer »

A couple of years ago I was talking to a friend of mine who is interested in photography. I was lamenting the difficulty of detecting vampires with surveillance systems because they cast no reflection to be detected by a camera's mirror.

That was when I learned that not all camera's use mirrors. There is a class of digital camera that doesn't. I have already integrated this style of camera into my home and business security system.

I'd be happy to assist anyone else who wants to do likewise, if they haven't already.

Also, sorry for not bringing this up sooner. I'm not in the habit of discussing my security system but I realize this could come in very handy to others.

Indeed so, Cynthia. It means that any vampires that have been sniffing around my home have their images and video footage stored in my archive. What's more, they can be identified as being vampires easily by comparing those images to those taken with digital cameras that do use mirrors.

Very useful Matt. I'd upgraded my goggles to include a non mirror based electro-optical image intensifier a while back but hadn't though of the applications in identification.

Do not rely upon them.

Don’t think cross-referencing a camera equipped with mirrors alongside cameras without them is a foolproof way to detect vampires, though. It isn’t.

I've learned not to rely on anything when it comes to vampires.

Though the look on their own face when you can show it to them is nice.
