Poll Question

Just curious to see what the most selected round/bullet is. Select your top two.

Primary Round & why.

Secondary Round & why.

This poll does not include special rounds, but feel free to include your input on these special rounds as well.

1) Poll doesn't work.

2) It's situational. My favourite general purpose rounds is a composite round of a normal lead bullet with an exposed silver penetrator in the middle. On targets with no special immunities it acts as a ball ammunition with an armour piercing core. On creatures impervious to normal weapons but vulnerable to silver the penetrator punches in, leaving the lead outer shell on the outside.

Down side is it's expensive and time consuming, so I don't bring it out unless I know I am monster hunting and have no clue what I'm up against.

Ok then, that was incredibly technical, but I expect nothing less from you Ron.

What do you use for a 12 gauge?

Again it varies. I like #4 shot and I have it in a variety of materials including lead, steel, tungsten, silver, iron and a variety off woods. I simply load up with the type I expect to work best and if I'm not sure I mix multiple types in the shell.

I also like .410 shotguns too because they are often pistol sized and can fire .45 Long Colt to boot.

I prefer the stand 12 gauage myself. Ever use an automatic shotgun?

Sub sonic JHP for most encounters, high calibre "hot loads" for long work, and scatterguns when you may need a batch of odd ammo in a hurry.
