First thing to remember is that this isn't a riddle. It's a message. For it to be effective, the recipient must understand that it is for them.

The addressee is "The Fallen".

I think it's safe to cross Micheal T. off the list. He hasn't posted in some time so sending a message via this medium is an uncertain way of ensuring it was delivered.

I cross myself off the list because there is no way that I percieve myself as "The Fallen". Therefore it would be an ineffective way to address a message to me.

That leaves you, Mr. Holister, Mr. Caliburn and Cessiel. All have daughters. Any of you relate to being called "The Fallen"? Enough to say with confidence that the message was for you?

One more thing to consider. The recipient may not be a poster.

Once we've narrowed down who the message was for, we can try and decipher what it meant.

I still say Ron. He had all those weird dream a while back and he is sort of a " Fallen Son ". Though that guy Cessiel has a " Ima fallen Angel " kind of handle there.

Sides, Ima redneck sheriff in Maine, I think if anyone wanted to send me a message, they'ld just use FedEx.

All in all Cyber, you got a great nack for investigative work there. Very direct and scientific.

It is possible on both accounts. Hopefullly one or both will be able to enlighten us some.

Agreed. I think we can safely remove you from the list as well.

You raised another interesting point there Sheriff, Ron has had bad dreams before, so why would the thing not just contact him directly? We know it's possible.

Sounds to me like it doesn't want to show its face to the intended for a reason. But why?

Wish I could say, but I haven't seen it since. Whether that's because of the precautions I've taking or it just moved on to other things I have no clue, wonder if anyone else is still having regular nightmares? Well, worse than usual anyway.

I believe I can shed some light on this. I know of a fallen demon hunter, his tragic story and of his beautiful daughter.

He hunted demons for about two decades. You won't have heard of him. He was that good.

But it was a devil that was his fall. She seduced him. Married him. Had his child. And then revealed the truth to him. It was more than he could bear. He tried to slay her but she was too powerful for him. She abandoned him instead, leaving him with their daughter to raise.

She is grown now and has left him as her mother before her did.

Now he clings to life without purpose. He beleives that everything has been taken from him but he is wrong. For he still loves both mother and daughter. Only recently has he learned that the mother was slain by a disinterested hunter, much younger than himself.

This phantom of dreams, he is a demon. To kill the daughter will slay not only a natural born enemy but also crush one last hope of an already broken enemy. But first he will take her eyes for he likes to collect trophies.

I can direct any of you to where this hunter lives.
I can help.

Indeed.

I would render assistance in this matter myself, but alas my presence, much less my aid are not welcome.

It was I who set loose a hunter upon his love and I who revealed her passing to him. I had hoped to grant him some comfort in his old age but I did not see the passion that still burned in his heart for her.

To what end, exactly? To find one of the hundreds of names here that have never posted or only posted once or twice?

And there's no reason to believe that this person even has a log on as the entire site is open to casual visitors. If I wasn't posting here, I wouldn't have a log in. Doesn't mean I wouldn't see everything that was posted.

You know, kind of like Khavik.

If this person is viewing these boards then there's a good chance the warning has been recieved already. Because it's right out here in the open. A PM probably won't be any more noticible. If they do not visit these boards, then the only way to warn them is to visit them or get another form of contact information.

I would ask for contact information for this individual but frankly, I don't have the time at the moment. I'm entirely too busy trying to deal with a charitable foundation that is trying to do the right thing but is impairing my progress in helping a little girl. If someone else is interested in contacting this individual, then I would encourage them to do so.

Im sayin' if the guy is a member, we can contact them easier if we know who they are. If their name is on the roster they are a member with contact info. If they are just a guest and not a member, then you may be correct that the only way they are goin' to get this info is to happen across it.

The hunter of which I speak does not have a log on that I'm aware of. Nor do I know the frequency with which he checks these boards, only that he does.

As I said before, I can provide information on the whereabouts of this hunter.

I just think that you have been very crypticto say the least from day one. Trust happens to be an issue with a bunch of us here; if ya' can believe that. Just because I think its suspicious doesn't mean its not true. Then again this can be one large trap. All I'm sayin' is we could use a bit more intel before rushin' into this one Cessy.

Cessiel, perhaps you are being too subtle? For all the talk of security on the boards, some of the members need to be struck in the head with all the subtlety of a brick to get their attention.

Myself, I am currently in no condition to be going out stalking another hunter - mentally or physicaly.

May Amaterasu watch over you and your daughter, hunter - I have nothing to give but my blessings at this time.

Subtlety of a brick? :? Doesn't hurt to air on the side of caution. Im not sayin' to post critical need to know info right out in the open. Sides, that's what PMs should be used for.

Cessiel, stop being obtuse.
