The world is not a happy joyful place where every individual do what is right because they can or that they are able. Such a story book place doesn’t really exist, and I though the people here would know that. I use to do this for love of home and country but I soon learned that was all a lie..

Now I do what I do because it all I have ever known and the pay is fairly good at time. It is surely more interesting then cuffing the simple bail jumper.

People think it may be immoral or evil do get paid for this type of work but in my opinion that is all a matter of prospective. With good enough reasons nothing is evil and everything is moral. I have my reasons for doing what I am doing in the way I am doing it and I don’t intend to explain them here.

I have offered my service, someone have been paid for a job and now I intend to do said till I have either I have accomplished it or dead. I would think you would approved of the job since it is to located someone you all know and to provide what ever aid I may be able to. But if you wish to judge me for getting paid then so be it. I would suggest you keep in mind that at times you can only someone that is getting paid; that way at least you know what motivates them. If someone does this out of the goodness of their hearts I should wonder if that heart is still beating or not or even if it is for the goodness.

Except that they don't do it for the money.

You think SWAT would do what they do without being paid?

But if you really are serious about paying me to walk your dog or wash your car and can meet my price, go ahead and contact me, I would love to have an easy job like that. Its sounds better then getting shot at or getting myself mauled to death on some street corner one night.
I don’t pretend to be a saint or a hero, or a good-person for all those are but just empty words. I am just a man doing a job that was paid for. And may HEAVEN ALL MIGHTY help the thing that gets in my way.

Ah heck, I have no problem with someone getting paid so long as the job's getting done. It'd be a bit hypocritical if I did, course I only get paid to go after things what go bump in the night.

Nobody has asked you to explain your reasons. We already know them. And there is no need to hide behind strawmen. For instance, although it was even pointed out already so I'm just re-stating, it never was a criticism about whether or not you are getting paid to help us.

You're partially correct; it's good to know what motivates you. It's great to know what motivates you, actually. So when I'm in desperate need of help (and broke or have no time to negotiate equitable terms) I'll know not to send a SOS anywhere your way. Instead, I'll send it to those members here who are both more qualified than you to do the job and more important willing to do it without giving the danger or the cost a second thought.

So I congratulate you on parting a fool with her money.

But that's not we're about here.

I also happen to know what motivates Ron, Kolya, Bert, Willie, Clarity, Shadow, and so on. And I have no trust issues with them, but so long as you're a merc, I'll never be able to trust you.

Probably not, but this is not a response to my point. But you asked. I think they would do it even if the pay was less than it already is.

Of course you wouldn't want to. Why would you set your strawman on fire?

Don't worry Natasha. Now you have a genuine hero to call on when you need help. :D

Is hero listed in the yellow pages now?

Maybe I should advertise there?

Heroes do not need to advertise, Brutal. They appear precisely where they are needed, when they are needed.

I hope in time you learn this lesson.

Before it is too late.
