The girl is back in the hood!

Post by Huntress »

Hey boys (and girls... I'm an equal opportunity kinda gal  ), who's missed their favorite ass kicking beyatch!?!?! Be honest now :P

I know i've been out of the picture awhile, but you all know how it goes. In the heat of the moment I was duking it out with a Dybbuk who sucker punched me while loading my car after "handling" a ghoul problem.

Well while that thing's strangling me to kingdom come (and I've got nothing against choking in the heat of passion, but ask permission first you know what I'm sayin boys? ) , I reached into my trunk and grabbed the first thing I touched to hit it with... turns out it was my laptop!!! Goodbye Wi-Fi... and a HARD goodbye for the Dybbuk followed shortly after let me tell you.

Anyway, I'm shacking up with an old girlfriend of mine (No... we havent, she's not that kinda girl.... but yes I would...In a heartbeat!) And I'm borrowing her PC and thought I'd catch up with my pals and gals.

So I'm out her loving the midwest... How has life in the society been peeps?

The Winds are changing

Post by Celeste Darken »

Welcome back, Huntress. I’m glad to see the winds brought you back to us. Do not take this the wrong way, but I’ve always felt . . . related to you, in a way. Maybe it’s because you went one way, and I went another. I might have been you had luck favored me, and you might have been me, had that lady not smiled as kindly.

I've always wanted to meet you. And not in the way your normal clients do. Human or otherwise.

Its been interesting as of late. Dante, Celeste and I destroyed a cult and stopped an evil god from manifesting in our world.

Ron got his ass kicked by a Hunter hunter and with some cleverness managed to take it out before Halloween which would've been a all you can eat buffet for the damnable thing.

At the same time the rest of us were at KonThaak's dealing with a dark druid and a Strigoi and some weird stuff.

And now most of us have been planning an Op in War Stories.

Now there's a breath of fresh air.

Glad to have you back, it's been a continent and a year since our last encounter.

Things got slow and quiet here, too slow and quiet for a while after our LA caper. I was worried that somehting had een using the boards to hunt us down.

Some of us are still worried about that.

The bruises from my last big adventure have jus finished healing, so I'm out patrolling again. When I'm not making plans for the future. I got something I need to take care of, and some of the folks here have been kind enough to volenteer their services. It's going to take a bit of planning and preparation, but I think come spring we might be able to do some real action.

Fortunately the objective is gooing to be stationary until then anyway.

That sucks about the lap top, but at least it went to the cause.

We would never do such a thing as that particularly in your case. Glad to hear that you are ok and welcome back.

It'd be funny as hell to see a Vamp's (or anything vulnerably only to silver's) face when you pull out a Tire Iron, they think its normal, and then you wail on them for a bit with it.

Is that the way it goes? And here I thought they just didn't like vampires. Or Ron Caliburn, anyway. Pet vampire indeed . . .

We never hung up the "No Girls" sign . . . I just wish I knew who took down the "No Vampires" sign.

I'm sorry for calling you a pet Celeste.

I like pets. I shouldn't be so mean to them.

All I have to say about vampires is that "they suck". Take that however you will. 8)

That's better, even if it was meant sardonically. I'd rather be called a vampire and be hated and despised for what I am, than be called a pet and be loved and adored for pretending to be something I'm not.

I've said it before: I accept others' criticism. I am what I am. And I am not a mindless monster bent on draining every last human I see. And like those that think you are some trigger happy fool with a gun, Mr. Caliburn, those that believe I am still bent on the path of evil are likewise ignorant.

And I will take your opinion with a grain of salt, Huntress. It doesn't bother me.

Yo! Welcome...back, I guess. I don't believe you were active when I first joined, so it's good to see a "new" face.

And since Private McVay re-joined us, I'll extend the same sentiment in his direction, too.

Welcome back, and sorry y'all missed so much "fun".

We all did, babe.

Matter o'fact, I thought about you while I was helping Ron explain to this dead assassin why hunting badasses like us was a bad career move. After a spirited body-language discussion, the assassin saw the light.

I may as well join Kon-Tiki in a spirited greeting and welcoming return to you both. It is always a good thing to know that one's circle of contacts and possible allies is expanding, rather than diminishing.

Echoing sentiments

Post by Celeste Darken »

mrloucifer wrote:And the bloody reunion continues!!!

Well, I for one, hope that sentiment doesn’t end. We seem to be doing a lot of “welcoming back” lately. How are your hands? If my memory serves correctly, an arcanist’s skill is dependent upon such eye-hand coordination. But I wouldn’t know. I speak only from hearsay.

Mister . . . Louis Cifer, is it? I am Celeste Darken. Since you seem to be friends with Ron, I’m sure he would be happy to tell you all about me. He and I have a very thorny . . . “relationship,” if I may use such a word without him crucifying me. Normally, I find myself silent when members of the Society come, or return, for that matter. But I take exceptions to that rule for those that have already proven themselves. And if the esteemed Debunker returns as well, he will certainly have a few choice words directed my way, though I will not argue the matter. I will likewise be more than willing to echo salutations already given should Koyla and others resurface. So, in the meantime, welcome back.

Always nice to see other energy-wielders showing up on the board. Welcome back.

I'm just the resident druid. Nothing too special, but I've been able to offer some advice and such to several fellow members.

Good to see yet more friendly faces popping up.

You sound like you know your stuff and how to handle yourself, I like that in a girl. Anyhow if you are looking for a lucrative " job " stop by Cypress Cove, we got enough strange things going on here to sate your pallet. Besides, I could use the help, its just me and four other deputies up here. So if you ever in Maine, feel free to stop by. 8-)

Greetin's From Maine

Um, has anyone heard from Huntress since her last post. I mean, she's not like dead is she. After everthing that went down in Maine, I would have thought we'ld have heard from her. Ild like to meet her, but her silence over this long of time is disheartenin'. I hope she's ok, and that shes doin' well.
If anyone's heard from her, drop a line. Thank Ya Kindly. *-)

Happy Huntin'
