Okay Logan, then tell me how the asylumn could have been dealt with better.
Did I say you handled it poorly Caliburn? All I pointed out was how such exploits were recieved by your fellows.
and as far as I'm concerned, none of those he injured or killed were actually innocent.
And how would that statement be recieved if it came from my mouth? (Well done by the way, you had a 35% lower casualty rate than we would have accomplished.)

The majority of the things I mentioned were handled in the most effective means available to those present at the time. They are just examples of how your "old boys network" reacts to events. If any one of those events had been handled by myself or my team, even if the outcome had been the same, you would have all been looking to lynch me, second guessing my every step and every action.

Well maybe if there weren't an oppositional element to your philosphy - trying to keep these things secret when this society is dedicated to expanding knowledge.

Sometimes secrets are a good thing, Mr. Caliburn.

But then I may be prejudiced since I can't operate without them.

By the way, would anyone like me to pick them up anything while I'm here?

Be careful Nemesis, dealing with Dym in any fashion is not good for your long term health.
Not a threat, no chest thumping, just a warning.

Miss Dawes, do you take everything you read here seriously? I have a feeling there are more than a few that are just ordinary folks trying to get a rise out of people like you for fun.

Save your money Hannah. Nemesis may be one of the best assassins out there, but is no match for Dym. I am woking to make sure Dym is put down once and for all. He got away in our first round only because I had to save an innocents life while he fled. Next time I will make sure there is no one around he can endager to save his hide.

Be sure, Mr. Nemesis, that you find a reason for your fight, something that is not money, but rather something that is your own. To do battle for a cause that is not your own will wear away at your humanity, even as your skills improve.

If you loose too much of your humanity to the fight, and become a human Oni, those here would be forced by their own moral and spiritual views to sadly hunt you untill you were no more.

By the way Mr. Nemesis, have you ever been to Iga village on the island of Honshu? Their primary export was once men much like yourself, you may enjoy touring the city, and it's museum.
Understanding, is not a thing that comes swiftly, but rather in stages, a journey that once begun, must be seen to it's end.

First, my apologies to Mr. Li. I have neglected to reply to his post so I will do so now.

Okay, so how's this for a reason to kill supernatural menaces (in addition to the money, which I'm not giving up). It's better then killing regular people for money?

I've never been to Iga village or to Honshu. Next time I'm in that part of the world, I shall endeavor to check it out.

Now for the reason for this post.

I have been contacted for a job. I can't go into too much detail but I'm looking into things before I accept. Apparently wizards still duel. And apparently sometimes they die when they lose. And sometimes when they lose, their friends and family get together to have them avenged.

I'm being offered quite the sum so I must confess, I am strongly tempted.

First I was told there are avatars of gods, werewolves, and vampires....now you are saying there are wizards too? Does that mean there is real magic?

No, I'm pretty sure they just wear house coats and pointy hats while pointing sticks at each other and shouting, "Ignoramus!"

It looks like I will be taking that job after all.

As long as the check doesn't say, "Hogwarts National Bank" or some such.

Perhaps I shouldn't tease my clients...
