_____Do you know when Eilonwy will get better, Mr. Willie? I’ve tried meditating like she does, but nothing happens. I want to help her.

Hi Everyone

Last time I was in to visit Wie, I tickled her feet, just a little, to see her move them. Sometimes when she's laying there, so quiet and still, it's hard to remember she's alive.

Hannah

PS: Clarity, she'll come back when she's ready to.

During my "interrogations" they went into excrutiating detail of the beating "I" put on on Wie.

Her recovery is at best going to be delayed, but I give her better odds than whomever it was wearing my face.

Hannah mentioned that you were out of town at the time? Any witnesses to your whereabouts? Also they should be able to recover DNA evidence from the strangulation, problem being if its a "doppleganger", it might have the same as yours...so that could be a double edged sword.

You seem to have the worst luck with body doubles, Mr. Caliburn.

Still, it reminds me of an old Star Trek episode I saw when I was a little kid. My dad was a huge fan of the franchise.

There was this guy who invented a machine to visit other dimensions. In this other dimension, he met that realities version of himself. This double became insane and obsessed with the other's destruction.

The whole story was about the whole Man vs Himself theme, I suppose.

Not that I think this has anything to do with your current difficulties. If things hold true to form here, the problem will have a more fantastic answer than sci-fi.

Also, Diemos' comments have me wondering. How much DNA does it take to voodoo someone? (Is that the right term?)

What you mean is clear in this context, Nemesis, but the proper phrase is "sympathetic magic"

WTH? How did hospital security not stop her attacker?

Because her attacker looked exactly like a guy who visited her more or less daily and he was there in visiting hours.

When the nurse discovered him he left in a hurry instead of finsishing the job.

Again, all about sending a message.

There's a short list of people who look like me who want to mess with me and with Wie.

Though I don't think he would have let up on Wie when he had her like that.

Hey everybody! I got great news!!

I went to visit Wie yesterday, I had to go alone because Dad isn't allowed in the hospital and Mom wanted to have a talk with Dad about some things.

Anyway so I talked to Wie while she laid there with all the tubes and wires and hoses and stuff they have plugged into her. I like to sit and talk to her for a while. Sometimes I bring her a book and read to her.

Anyway, I just about got finsihed telling Wie how I got back from Wales when I heard.

"
Hannah, could I have a glass of water please."

I think I was just as loud when she said that as I was when I found out Mom had made it to DC.

Anyway, she's awake, though very tired still, spends most of her time sleeping. Also, you have to tell her something two or three times before she remembers it, but the doctors said that's just her brain sill getting used to thinking again.

Anyway, she'll be in the hospital a while longer, but she's gonna be okay.

They’ve decided I can have my laptop . . .

Post by Eilonwy Solstice »

They’re letting me have solid food now, if Jello is considered a solid . . . Hannah’s been great about that; and Doctor Osman has agreed to let me have a laptop here while I’m in the hospital. However, its usage will be strictly monitored: I’m not allowed on it in the early mornings or evenings and later. But between that, the exercises they have me on, and Hannah’s visits, I don’t have room to complain. Besides, I have a lot to catch up on.

A lot.

Hi Everyone!!!

Ain't it great to see Wie's green font on here again?

I've been spending almsot all my free time at the hospirtal with her. They still won't let dad go and mom don't want to go unless dad's there so I'm about the only friendly face she's got to touch.

Hannah

PS: This Dr. Osman guy is really digigng his heels in about my dad. I'm sure the hospital would have let dad back in once the charges were dropped without this guy sticking his nose in.

Never claimed it was fair, just that some of the things out there think in terms that are extremely alien to us. Legends from history point out that the gods talked in dreams and visions, native americans have a deep belief in vision quests where what you see isn't always straightforward.

Thanks, guys; I really appreciate your concern . . .

Post by Eilonwy Solstice »

I’d appreciate that a lot, Konrad. But for the sake of following the hospital rules, I think you better talk to Dr. Osman before visiting me; I’m trying to assure him that it’s safe for Ron to visit me and get the restraining order dropped, but it’s out of my hands. He’s almost as protective of me as you guys are, and being pregnant makes him that much stricter . . . Hannah thinks he’s a fuddy-duddy . . . to put it nicely.

And thanks, Erik. I’ll try to get to it when I can.

Hi Everyone,

Yeah, Doc Osman's kinda creepy and definitely rude. Makes sure he's alone with Wie before he does any tests. He also kicks me out even though it's visiting hours.

Hannah

That raises suspicions. I never trust doctors that insist on no one else in the room for tests. If the patient doesn't have a problem with the visitor being there. Then neither should the Doctor.

Hey - anybody heard anything from Wie? Hannah called me from the hospital a few minutes ago - it looks like Wie checked herself out of the hospital while we were stuck out of town.

Hey Everybody

Should have told you sooner. Wie showed up while Dad and Willie and Shadow and Rain and all them were off on Armistice day.

Mom was kinda surprised by her, not knowing who she was. She almsot slammed the door in the face of the bloody and bandaged woman standing in the rain outside our door asking for a place to spend the night. But when I heard Wie's voice I almost fell down the stairs running to hug her.

I wish Mom and Wie could have met under better circumstances, but Mom didn't hesitate in helping me get wie into some dry clothes and cleaning the dried blood out of her eye sockets before changing the dressing.

Still, it was kinda weird how Mom didn't say hardly anything to Wie directly that night or since. She ain't said much to Dad either.

Anyway, Wie's okay, she's getting proper care from a doctor who doens't want to have a restraining order against Dad and living back with us.

More to come.

Hannah

PS: Wie didn't say much about how she got to our door, somehtign about needles and thugs and such.
