Well. This is most interesting thing I have dealt with as of late. I am a bit one that can shall we say easily walk the World between Worlds. But this was a even a bit much for one such as I.
I had finished one of my many walks and returned to my new apartment. When I walked in I immediately knew something was off. Even though everything was as I had left it. My instincts told me there was going to be trouble.
Sure enough. As I walked deeper into my new pad I saw this strange creature munching on some...thing. I couldn't tell what because at this point it was all guts and gore. I think it was an animal. At least I hope it was. Well anyways it saw me and lunged. Luckily I think quickly on my feet and managed to keep it from getting a good hold on me. Well after wrestling this creature for a time I managed to land a few good punches to it, Thank the Gods I have my studded leather glove on at all times. I managed to put it down. But I have no idea what this little creature was. I disposed of it and its gruesome feeding as best I can. Thank fully incense and good firewood in a fireplace covered the stench of flesh for the most part.
Well this creature looked like a wierd shadowy cat like creature with tentacles around its face and fanges in its mouth. But its front paws/claws/hands it was very good at using.
No idea what the hell that thing was but man it was a nasty bugger.

Re: War of Shadows
I'd complain to the landlord, yo. I've never heard of a critter like that, but it sounds like it was from here.

The fact that it didn't discorporate would
lead me to believe it's a type of mutant rather than
supernatural.

In my experience not all things supernatural discorporate after death. But not all of my experience dealing with creatures of Supernatural Origins was on this world.
