Ghosts of Asbury Church Graveyard

Post by DarKnyht »

The Paranormal Pastor brings us another tale of hauntings. This time the place is in the states (Erie, PA) so perhaps someone can confirm this one.

Never understood why haunting entities chose graveyards for their home. There is little energy for them to draw own from the dead.

Lots of energy available from those who come to mourn. They are usually sad and not gaurding themselves, therefore they leak energy out for anything that feeds on that to grow strong.

Hi Everyone,

I've been reading Dr. Lazlo's work, and I'm wondering if the ceremonies might do it. You get a bunch of emmotional people together, lead them in a ceremony where they are supposed to focus their energies and you do this in the same place dozens of times a year.

Perhaps there is some leak or residue or echo or something that comes form that. Since people are thinking about the person wh just died, maybe something picks up these thoughts with the energy and creates ghsots of the dead.

I dunno, I think that's how Dr. Lazlo would have explained it.

PS: Maybe I'll have Peter and MJ come with me to the local cemetary, see what we can find.

Uh Hannah going to a Cemetary may not be the best of ideas. If for no other reason than your Dad will likely freak. Also with the way things have been going lately, I wouldn't be surprised that you would find something.

Hi Shadow,

How's that Rebecca girl doing?

Anyway, we went and found . . . lots of tombstones. Not a single thing wandered out to try and spook us. I tried to talk Peter and MJ to come back on a Full Moon but they were all like "No, that's not a good idea." so we didn't go back.

PS: Of course my Dad freaked, that's part of the fun.

Hannah,

While it is fun for you, it is not fun for him.

Even though there was nothing there this time, you might not be so lucky next. Not all trouble comes in the form of the supernatural. I remember that graveyards used to be a hangout of some of the rougher crowd back home.

You're gonna give your dad a heart attack if you keep that up. :(

Hi Willie,

Dad's in great shape and gets lots of exercise, I'm sure his heart will be fine.

PS: He shouldn't get so worked up about it anyway. It's not like I'm trying to chase down werewolves in the blight or anything.

Why do people always consider ghosts from graveyards “evil?”

Why do people always consider ghosts from graveyards “evil?” Couldn’t they be trying to return to help?
Sometimes the only thing to be done is to feel one’s way through the darkness.

I would guess it is because most cultures have deep superstitions regarding the dead and burial places. When you combine that with the fact the average person dislikes of touching or being around the dead things, it makes for a place that generally is avoided and subconsciously is assumed to be evil.

With that in mind, I would say that when someone sees a entity in a graveyard their preconceptions make them automatically assume it is evil.
