New Layout

The new layout is really nice, albeit rather dark. Rather fitting, I suppose.

Ehm, just one thing, though... How can we tell which posts we haven't read yet, save glancing at the date and time of posts? That little red page made sifting through threads quite a bit easier, in my opinion.

I've got to admit, it's really cool. Although I wasn't expecting it, so I thought I was on the wrong site at first.

Seriously, though, I just keep looking at the guide at the bottom. I feel dopey, but at least it's helpful.

The overall general appearance is very cool, but as Koralth pointed out, it is kinda hard to discern the new posts from the old, now. Would it be possible to include a little logo on posts, like the red and white pages we used to have? I dunno, if we wanna stick to the dark "gothy" theme, we could use a white skull for old posts, and a red skull for new ones? =P

The new logo's animated searchlight is AWESOME, but the red text makes it look like a spiffy header, rather than the logo of the site. Lex had a good suggestion, and I can work on making it happen, if anyone's interested: Make it white text with a yellow searchlight. That would make it stand out a lot more, especially with the red text on the red of the page...and the yellow searchlight would help it stand out from the text of the logo. Like I said, I can try and work on it, if anyone's interested. It just means getting a copy of Fireworks back onto my comp, again; not a big deal.

Other than that, it looks very cool! I'm anxious to see what other features this update brings us... Perhaps now it won't mark everything as red if we happen to sit too long, or navigate away from the site? That was always the biggest pain for me on the old site...

EDIT: I saw the page logo, next to the date. Feel kinda silly, but it's still kinda hard to tell the difference between the white ones and the "pink" ones... Could we bring out the contrast just a tad?

I like it. Really cool. Brings the site up to date. The lighthouse effect is also pretty cool. Reminds me of The Point after sunset.
