Hi again guys. Ok Ron, this is how it went down the best that I can remember.

I am out on old route 6, doing traffic detail when I see this silverish gray Porshe with dark tinted windows come wizzin' past. It clocked in at 80 in a 50 zone so I hit the cherries and whistles and tear ass after it.

To my surprise the SOB pulled over.

I got out and walked over to the driver side. Something just didn't seem right bout it. I know I should have listened to my gut.

I tap on the window, ask for the liscense and reggy. The window starts to go down and then "BLAM", a flash, then I hit the ground.

The Porshe takes off and I manage to crawl back to my cruiser.

I thought my vest took the shot, but I was bleedin' like a stuf'd pig {no pun intended}. The SOB used a cop killer. Damm thing tore right through my vest and right through me.

I did manage to get a call out for backup before blackin' out.

Unit 2 showed up and got my ass to the hospital.

When I woke up two days later I was hooked up to IVs and monitors. Turned out the bullet grazed my heart, punctured a lung, and dam near severed my spine on its way out.

My boys found the Porshe abanndoned 20 miles away on the side of the road. The Porche was stoeln and the true owner was found dead and mangled in the trunk with a note attatched to it readin' " This is only the beginning, spread the word. "

I'll be dammed if I know what that means.

So I've been in the hospital for 3 weeks, just got home Sunday. Got Molly, Duke, and Dr. Valentine watchin' over me like I was some damm cripple or somethin'.

Could be worse I suppose.

Anyhow, that help you fellas out any?

Alright then, appology accepted.

But that was some sick ass shit that went down. Doc Coltraine, the town mortician and medical examiner, said it looked like somebody took a chainsaw to tha poor bastard. Except the doc says he could find no oil or metal anywhere on the body. That and the bones appeared to have been gnawed on.

Damn it. Not this crazy shit again. Kill one thing, and some other damn thing comes along and takes its place.

I want this jerk off, and I want him bad. What ever the hell he, she, or it is!!!

Saliva . . .?

Gnawed on . . .?

Did Doctor Coltraine find any samples of saliva in the wounds, Ben?

Come to think of it, he was a little baffled by the autopsy results as well as the forensics of it all.

These were the findings:

1) The body was ripped apart savagely by an animal. Trace evidence of saliva and wounds resembling teeth and claw marks were found.

2) DNA analisys of the saliva and hairs found at the scene and in the corpse came back as inconclusive. At best the result leaned toward bat, arachnid, and gecko.

3) Hairs found at the scene and on the body also came back as human - female caucasian.

4) Toxicology report on the body said it contained high levels of venom found commonly in Black Widow spiders and a viral substance common linked to Komodo Dragon saliva.

5) The body was not killed at the scene. Analysis indicated that the body was dead at least seven days before its discovery.

6) ID of the body confirms a professor of occult studies at Brown University in Rhode Island by the name of James Hugh Elrond. He was reported missing from his job several days ago.

7) Elrond's office and home were both subject of local investigations of break ins and extreme vandalism, probably theft.

8 - Forensics evidence at both scenes revealed "unusaual" animal DNA that
could not be identified due to unexplained cross contamination.

9) The Porshe belonged to Elrond and was reported as stolen about the same time he went missing.

10) A single bullet casing was foun under the driver seat belonging to a 9mm Gloch. The bullistics that I personally ran on the casing came back as a High Power Armor Piercing titanium round with a identification stamp from originates from the DC area. I am still running a trace on the casing ID.

11) No fingerprints were found on the body or car. None were found at either crime scene in Rhode Island.

I hope this information helps you fellas out. I will still be out of action for another week or two the doc says. We'll just have to see about that.

Watch ya' backs till then.

What I want to know is how does a professor manage to own a Porsche?

Seems a little fishy to me.

I'm none too concerned about that, GS, the man was a professor at an Ivy League university.

And who knows, Holister? Supernatural entities learn something new every day, and mischief is an old trick for them.

I'm more concerned about the forensic findings on the bite marks. Bat, Arachnid, AND Gecko, all in one? Seems a bit mismatched. Especially if the thing had hair to donate for your genetic testing.

You do mention that he went missing, but it didn't sound like his vehicle was reported as being missing evidence - or was that something you found out after the incident occurred?

Regardless, get better soon, Holister - This doesn't sit right with me.

The whole situation seemed fishy. The whole Porshe thing didn't sit well with me either. The cops down there didn't realize about the car until a neighbor told it was missing, three days after the fact.

You still have a sharp sense for detail Logos, I always liked that bout you.

Maybe I can get your help with my "unofficial" investigation. Any input right now would help out alot.

I get the feeling this assclown is still out, and its been almost a month. Has anyone else had anything quasi-unusal happen to them?

Oh yeah...I got the bullistics ID back on that shell casing.....

It was from Ron's old shop!!

We'll see, Holister. I'll need some time to get things set up to take leave of the department, but... Well, I need to run things by Koralth before I go traipsing off on a whim.

We both are... I'm a K9 unit. He's exceptional at these investigations, though.

Listen, we've talked it over, Holister, and.. We'll consider it. You'll understand, of course, why we're a bit skeptical to help you out again, after last time...

Yeah, I would even be a bit standoffish if I were in your place too. Jeremiah really did a number on you folks. Did a number on me too.
I'ld understand if ya'll done steered clear of me. The last thing I need on my conscious is having good folks gettin' hurt over my worthless ass.

I don't why or how I got into this mess, but I'll have to get myself out of it.

Thanks Anyway. You two are still 5 x 5 in my book.

I, unlike certain members of this website, do not exclude possibilities that exist outside of narrow, preconcieved notions.

So what, he was murdered by a pack of wolves, who decided to cover it up by contaminating the DNA evidence.

After all, there is a distinct possibility that a certain "MAJOR" player that is no man, could easily be an alien from Uranus.

Oh, I think we know exactly what comes from Uranus.

1) To quote Hooper from the film Jaws; " There is no point arguing with a man who is lining up to to a hot lunch. "

2) Is this even a sentence? Seriously, what short bus did this guy get his grammar skills from?

Technically that was two sentences, Deacon, but let's not nitpick.

But, given that the man was dead for as long as he was, I'll admit, there's a decent enough chance that each of these animals had a chance to nip at the body, though, I'm not certain that human is on a gecko diet. This argument is pointless without further investigation to the incident, however.

Well hows bout this, when was the last time ya'll see geckos in New England, or bats or spiders large enough to leave behind a good third of the only available DNA evidence. Not to mention the poor bastard was locked in a car trunk after being mauled by half of Noah's Ark.

Maybe he did just have a bad day at the zoo and was killed in the reptile house after stumbling through the nocturnal exibit, after being attacked in the house of insects. Yeah, that sounds much more plausible.

Jack ass!

Okay, I went through my records to confirm this, I haven't sold any armor piercing ammunition in months - and a s a general rule I don't let that go to anyone who isn't a cop or Lazlo Society member.
