Not Me
Keep lively people . . . my reflection made a few faces at me and called me a Heretic when I got out of the shower.
He didn't stick around to chat, hopefully my punching the mirror left him all broken up.

I was reading Shakespeare when . . .
I was reading Shakespeare’s Hamlet when a feeling of malcontent worked through my body. I listened; everything seemed in place. The gentle whir of the shower upstairs, Hannah tapping her pencil against the table, as was her custom when figuring out a particularly difficult math problem, and the creaks, claps, and burrs of a house settling toward night. I bit my lips and marked my spot before shutting the book and headed upstairs. My face reddened as the shower murmured to silence and sounds of a body walking around.
But I felt this was important. “Ron?” I tapped on the door self consciously. “I’m getting a bad feeling . . .”
A roar of surprise and a crash, followed by the piano concerto of glass falling to the floor instantly wiped away any feelings I had of contrition. The door yanked open.
“Wie, safe room, quick! No, the bigger one!” His dampness wet my entire front as he shouldered me and dashed down the hall and leaped the stairs. Hannah’s exclamation of surprise was drowned by his echoed warning. He locked the vault door behind us and armed himself faster than he had ever done in my experience.
We waited in choked silence as the soft buzz of interior cameras checked the house.
I don’t think any of us got any sleep that night. Hannah stayed home from school the next day.

Sometimes the only thing to be done is to feel one’s way through the darkness.

Damn I think I know what he may have done, thou I can't swear to it.
Basicly Mirrors have always had a legendary history of being gateways, or passages to other places.
I think Not Ron may have been learning a few tricks with the Boon. It is able to open gates, and possiblly do other things.

To find the darkness you have walk in the shadows.

I mean it just might be you break the mirror and nothing happens, except that you're on his turf all of a sudden.
I'm not the expert on these things, but I figure if half of him is on one side of the mirror and the other half is on the other side, breaking the mirror isn't going to be pleasant for him.

Certainly is a reasonable conclusion.
I just ponder the alternatives.
