Something simple for a change.

Well after what happened during my absence this was simple. I found a werewolf in the process of attacking a young man in the park last night, it was throwing him around and going for maximum fear from the poor kid. I waited till the kid was out of range of a fire ball and let the beast have it, it howled in rage and lunged at me. I dove to the side and came up with Skullcrusher swinging, the beast took arrogantly let me hit it with the first swing. A mace dose horrific damage when it hits a stationary target, the beast was expecting to not be harmed by a mere mace. Unfortunatly for it Rune weapons do as much damage to them as a regular weapon dose to a human. The werewolf tumbled back and seemed to be stuned for a moment as I hit it with a second shot, the thing decided it had had enough of this and went to run.

I ported ahead and made sure it ran square into another shot from Skullcrusher, and just to rub salt in the wound had Skullcrusher hit it with a lighting bolt as it staggered back. I got hit by a wild claw, it glanced off the armor spell I had up and knocked me back a few steps. A call lighting was all it took to finish the thing off. I heard something in the brush over to the side and went to check after casting a detect spell to make sure it was not another werewolf waiting to jump me. I found a fifteen year old girl, a very unusal young lady, she is a genetic hybrid of a human and a panther. She does'nt know where she came from or how she came into being. She resembles a humaniod cat, complete with full body fur and tail. Her bone structure is a cross between the two species.

How do you know the abnormality is genetic in nature? It may be some sort of werebeast or werebeast offspring. I trust you've contained it somewhere safe until we can determine if it's a threat.

The young lady is safe, from all my research team has gathered so far this was done by a lab. There is no abiltity to change shape that can be found by magic or tech, I think she is the results of a reseach project in the area.

I didn't ask if the creature was safe, I wanted to know if we were safe from it.

With everything I can think of to check them for danger I would say yes we are safe from her.
