Absences of late

Hey, guys... I'm *ahem* sorry for Logos' and my own absences of late. It's my fault, it's been completely my fault that she hasn't been able to be present lately. A while ago, I was "talking" to Will through Angel, asking him questions and having her convey his answers. I was trying to look up names of descendants and whatnot, and Logos heard a familiar name: Aislinn Osborne. She knew that there were some Osbornes in her ancestry, and thought it was a funny coincidence. I, on the otherhand, took a hunch and looked into her ancestry myself and found that there WAS an Aislinn Osborne living in New York at the time, her own ancestor. The time period was just right for it to be one and the same as the Aislinn who fought along-side Will. I... *ahem* fought back the urge to believe it could be her; how could she possibly be another descendant? There are so few Lazlo associates, how could she, out of everyone in the world, a member of the same small organization as another descendant (Angel), possibly be a descendant? I mentioned to her that it was possible she was one, but that I didn't think she was. The odds are too astronomical, I refused to believe it was the case, but then it... *ahem* it came for her... I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner on this one, Angel... everyone.

You make it sound like I'm dead. I'm not. I'm just tired, really tired, and after finally getting home, I just want to rest. I'll post more on it later. Kor... You beat yourself up over everything, and preach to others that they can't hold the world on their shoulders, that they have to give themselves a break every once in a while... Why don't you listen to your own teachings, just for once? Even mom forgives you for what happened because it honestly WASN'T your fault... Definitely not worth the regressions you've showed, Dr. Diaz has been very concerned about you lately...

Angel, she was attacked July 30. She was on duty that Monday, she was taking a break at her favorite coffee shop, and the damn bug came in through the window! I got a call at exactly 11:27 that morning... *ahem* I knew right then and there what was going on. I told her to run, and she let me know that she was miles ahead of me, but that she hadn't gotten out of the encounter completely unscathed. That bastard cut her open, and though she won't admit it, it was pretty nasty. She had called in for backup... As if the dept. hasn't suffered enough, two officers were close enough to the scene that they made it in time to see the bug. They opened fire on it, and... one of the newbies hired on because of Jeremiah's spree was massacred, and one of our close friends got mauled pretty badly himself.

She's recovering well, Angel, she's walking just fine now, just gets tired easily. She'll be at 100% in a week or two.

I don't know what my language habits have to do with anything.

Back to some of the origional posts - these things tend to run in families. Very small groups of people who know the truth or who act like magnets for supernatural intervention. These families tend to cross over from time to time. I wouldn't be surprised if half the people on this board were connected if you were willing to go back a century or six.

Speaking of one’s language habits . . . well, you guys are probably sick of hearing this, but there are admitted youth on the board . . . can we use !@#% symbols or whatever instead of swearing? I know I’m being stubbornly impractical about this, it’s just that . . . sigh . . . I’ll get off this podium before I fall and hurt myself. I’m sure Ron has gotten sick of my reminders, and he’s doing much better around Hannah and me with his language, but . . . I can think of a better way to spend my time than reprimanding people . . . .

Anyway, that’s not what I wanted to talk about, though. Zack . . . you can’t carry the world on your shoulders, and if you try, you’ll be crushed. You put blame on yourself when others wouldn’t. Human beings have a tendency to outthink themselves, to doubt choices they have and haven’t made. Don’t. If we truly were as guilty as we think we are . . . well, let us just say the sentences we would receive would be dire indeed. Trust me, you are not nearly as guilty as you think you are. Yes, it feels that way to begin with. And maybe a portion is your fault. But you can’t let it eat at you, or a terrible thing will happen.

Oh, and while that subject cropped up, too . . . is this an impliication that we should start a “genealogy” project?

Alright, thanks for the kind words, all... I have to admit, though, that none of it is anything I haven't heard at therapy for the last couple of weeks. It's always good to hear it from other sources, though. Logos wants to tell some of the continuation of the story, so I guess we'll just wait for her discussion with the capt. to finish up. I think she mentioned that he had quite a bit he wanted to talk to her about... He wants to talk to me, soon, too, but I don't know if I'll be able to face the captain right now.

I'll try to clean up my language, Eilonwy, you're right that there is a little bit too much swearing for kids. I think we know Logos' stance on having children in our midst to begin with, but I'll talk to her about it, too.

If you're human, you don't have to go far to find someone you're all related to.

As for me, my known heritage starts and ends with me. I have no idea who my parents really were.

Ancestor, or their families were associated some how (buisnes, friendship, legal case)

One of the reasons she hasn't been on lately is we're trying to eliminate the screen as a cause.
