I was going to post the same thing today. Almost as bad as the story of the swimming pool that was stolen without spilling the water a couple of weeks ago.

It was probably a team not unlike Kolya's and the government is putting up a fake theft story so they can conduct some sort of experiment on the rock.

Let's hope nothing hatches from it.

Before WW1? I knew the chinese had an advanced society . . . but I doubt they were lobbing IRBMs into Siberia in the early 1900s.
