I visited with Yuri trying to give him a little help based on all the wonderful suggestions from folks here, including Will. Thanks for the help. So here is how it happened.

"Yuri, bratushka! Mind the bus!" I shouted just as he almost stepped out onto the street in front of the bus. I stepped out into the street and dodging the insane traffic made my way across to Yuri.

"Pushkin, bratushka, you saved my life!"

"Yuri, let's talk. We can drink tea." Here is where the strange thing happened. Yuri never responded to my telepathic-like conversation. I had to use my actual voice. So when I came running across the street through some rough traffic shouting at a guy that did not exist, well, even a Russian is going to be put off somewhat. Anyway it happens that some spirits are closed to this conversation technique, but none of the evil ones are. "Let's drink tea in the cafe over at Ligovshky Metro?"

"Indeed!" Yuri replied.

I checked both directions the coast was clear. We stepped out onto the street and I took two steps but Yuri did not get his other foot down before a ghost bus splattered him all over the road. "No shit!" I exclaimed and looked all around, narrowly dodging a speeding BMW. So I head on over to the cafe anyway. Maybe Yuri would make it after all. Besides, I was already all the way over on that side of the city, why not.

Dariya the little girl behind the counter gave me the tea and as I was stirring it and picking out the leaves I learned that she is not very talkative. Pleasant girl, polite even. "So what do you think about Pushkin?" I asked her.

She lightly closed her eyes, raised her eyebrows, and shrugged.

"Well thanks for the tea, I must be going now!" I and slid the half-empty cup across the counter. As I was walking out of the cafe I heard from behind me, "What do you expect? Kids these days, they'd vote for Stalin." I thought about it for a second and then I spun around, "Wait!" but he was gone already. He was speaking English, American accent.

I looked up just in time to see Yuri to shout and jump out in front of the bus. I shook my head and headed for the airport to fly to Moscow and kick Kolya's ass and bloody his nose. He's hiding from me.

That’s a . . . very interesting scenario, Sasha.

Before you try to injure Kolya, may I welcome him back?

Welcome backs out of the way.
And his ass has been kicked.
I think this one deserves to go in War Stories later.
We'll let Natasha tell it since we would be biased.

Well Natasha missed the intro and we are trying to agree on what exactly happened, so I think she's just going to go with a generic "This is what I heard happening in the other room." I am sure Sasha will chime in after that.

Yes.

That is what I was thinking.

I think Angel is correct. Need to correct his perception that Pushkin needs to be avenged or convince him that Pushkin has been avenged. If I could find the Frenchman and let Yuri cap him, that might do it.

Working on it. Natasha is a better researcher though. We'll see what she comes up with. I could do 1/10th the work in 10 times the time.

And I don't have to smell you.

I went to the place where Pushkin had been shot and I brought some psychics along with me. We visited where he died, too. These locations have been thoroughly investigated by psychics and Natasha had given me a boatload of those reports, but I wanted to see the place for myself. Nothing overly useful revealed itself.

So I thought about telling Yuri that the Frenchman was dead and that Pushkin had been avenged. Why not? Nothing else was working. So I returned to Ligovsky. When Yuri saw me I instructed him to stay put, that I would come to him.

"Yuri, tell me something. How would you feel if I told you that Georges-Charles de Heeckeren d'Anthès was dead? More than dead, but hated and despised."

"I would need proof," he replied.

I contacted a medium to conduct a seance and bring Yuri and the Frenchman together. I actually contacted serveral and in a sadistic sort of irony, none of them agreed to help because they hated this guy too much. The first couple hated him so much that they refused to channel him. The other refused to channel famous people, especially "that piece of shit". A fourth said that she was afraid the Frenchman would charm her and she would stop hating him.

Time for Plan B.

At least you're making progress. I mean he didn't splatter himself all over the street did he?

He's just sort of waiting for you to find proof that Georges is dead and hated?

Which makes me wonder what plan B is all about.
You traded in your wings
For everything freedom brings
You never left me
You never let me
See what this feeling means

Everything that you feel
Is everything that I feel

I tend to doubt it stands for Bribery. Thou I could be wrong.
So what is plan B then Sasha?

To find a non-Russian medium willing to channel the Frenchman.
It's amazingly difficult.

Angel I think I see where you are going with this, and I am not sure that is such a hot idea at the present time. Let us get a bit more of a handle on things here in the states before you try and go out of the country.
Last thing you need is to have someone think you are trying to flee the country, this would give the D.A. in NY. all the ammo he needs to go from wanting you questioned, to having you arrested, and sent back to face charges.
Once we have things dealt with on that front, if Sasha has not already dealt with the situation by then, we will see about getting you over there to help. ok?
