So long as Ron does not send Hannah to a Catholic School she shouldn't have to worry to much about teachers hitting her. (Some of those Nuns are mean. :shock:

) If a teacher were to try and hit you Hannah they would get into serious trouble with the Law.

depends on the city I imagine...

worst we get in Springfield is the occasional stabbing (the kid came up behind me while the pencil was in my hand, I didn't mean to! :oops:

) or act of vandalism (extra points to my sister for wearing a trenchcoat and making it graffitti about COLUMBINE)...

somebody tell me again why I tacked my own dirty laundry onto that?

There used to be an "It can't happen here" thought on a school shooting - now it's a "What will we do when it happens" and "How do we stop it from happening" mentality.

High school can/won't suck for you, Hannah, depending on who you hang out with. If you find the right group, then you're great, but whatever group you're in, just make sure there's a good number of people in it. The safety in numbers idea works for more than busting beasties, after all.

Teachers can't/won't physically do anything to you, but the gym teachers can be harsh if you're not really athletic. (dodgeball, anyone?) Art was fun, for me at least. And, as Ron probably told you before, weapons WILL get you expelled.

My high school years were spent hiding from everyone else on a psychological level... I hope yours go better.
