The Ohio cult madness.

Post by Michael T »

Well I was first to arrive in Madien's Tears to help Dark out, guess I start the after action report for everyone. I arrived to town about 8 AM to start looking around the library for the book Dark metioned. I felt as welcomed in there as a wolf in a flock of sheep, the local constable showed up after about an hour of my sitting and reading in the library. The man was swaggering like he was a god reurning to claim his lands.

"You should be moving on friend, the gentlman you came looking for got a ride out last night. If you hurry you can catch up to 'im in the next town over." he sai in a cold tone.

"If my friend had gotten a ride he would have called me or messaged me with that information. I am still looking for a young woman and her daughter as well."

"Ain't been no young lady in town mister. You need to leave or I'll run you in for tresspassing and what ever else I can think of."

I guess the thought that this man may have know where Dark, Louise and Nikki were and was now trying to cow me down made my fuse burn fast. I jumped up and moved in on him, he stepped back and almost went for his gun before he got a good look at my face. I grabbed him by the collar and after a simple activation of a supernatural stregnth spell picked him up and walk to the door out.

"Do not threaten me you sorry excuse for a law enforcement officer. I will not be ran off because you think a gun and badge are all you need to be a pompous ass to strangers. A word of advice, pray that my friend and the ladies are safe. If not I am going to hold you responsible for any injury they get." I growled in anger.

My flaw in life, sometimes my temper gets the best of me in minor situations like this. I dropped the man on his ass and walked back in to continue my research and await the others. More to follow after some rest, the ritual and scrying all night for Koyla are hard on any one.

Should have been there, then you really would have a reason to be disgusted.

I've seen worse than them, but not by much. Still, they were really damn creepy, and they hit like a ton of bricks.

I'm sorry, but anything I say from this point on would just be redundant, so I'll just watch from now on.

My first squid thing slid out of an eatery near the town square.

Fortunately Mr. Fluffers had let me know he was there before he made a move and I greeted the Calamari Kid with a chest full of 00 Buck.

He staggered but ther was no sign of any other effect. I ran a few more rounds of it into him with no obvious effects either.

It was mostly keeping him back, but he was still getitng closer so I switched to a few of my special rounds and fired for effect.

The damned thing just kept coming, though I did take it of it's feet with a shot to the shins . . . that gave me enough time to kick down the door of a dollar store and slip inside.

Using the shelves for cover I worked on him, dodging around the shelves to hit him with my Blade and my Piece. Rolling garlic oil grenades at him. I even tried my taser and a few good kicks - but nothing.

I shoulder rushed my way through the door at the back of the shop and tried to come up with another plan. . .

The first few I killed was with the my unique pistol. The rest from what I remember I bludgeoned to death with a iron poker.

I think I am going to mount the remains of it in my office.

To be honest, I really do not remember. As I have said many times, I was far from being in the correct frame of mind.

The remains I was referring to was the twisted remains of my iron poker. Someone had to slice it in two in the attempt to stop me from attacking GhostSpider.

Anyway . . .

I'd taken no less than a couple of steps out the door when it hurled itself through the window at me.

It hit me hard . . . not Khavik hard, but I've been hit by plenty of strong things and this was in the top ten.

We crahsed through a railing and off the back porch of the store we fell the 5 or 6 feet to the ground in a tangled heap and proceeded to wrestle each other for position.

He was stronger than me, and he had those tenticles slapping me in the face, trying to grab my head and bring it in for a kiss or something.

I knew that I didn't want no intimate relations with anything that has tenticles so I brought my knee up as hard as I could into it's chest. Still didn't hurt it, but I staggered it enough for me to kick it off me and get to my feet.

He flipped up to his feet and rushed me again, so I went low and took him out at the knees. He fell forward and smashed his head off a wrought iron fence and dropped to the ground.

I got to my feet as quick as I could and was ready for the next shot . . . but it didn't come.

Instead he moaned a bit and clutched at his head/squid thing. Then he slowly started to get to his feet.

He was down, but not out.

In desperation I ran to the fence and tried to pry one of the rails loose.

The monster got up and started to pull himself along me towards the fence.

I started kicking the fence, trying to pop the rail off.

Just as the mosnter was about to reach me the rail clanged to the ground.

I dove for the rail and swung it with all of my might at the creature's head. . .

Well, I actually thought we would have to apologize, considering the broken bones and banged up prides we left behind.

Oh, and what happened to the totem?

Well i did get a few dark looks still but most of them did get the idea that we could have done much worse, if that had been our intent. I was going to return the totem but the Shamen told me to keep it as the guardian told him it would be safe with me, and they still have the other one.
