I'm still proceeding with caution, and I'm still myself, guys. I'm not letting myself get so deep into this stuff that I'd let it change me. The thought of desecrating graves to make slaves is still revolting to me, as are the thoughts of human or animal sacrifices. I still retain my druidic powers, so I'm not going against my nature enough to lose them.
As I said, my primary goal in this is to learn how to counter it all... I'm not terribly surprised I screwed up that spell and hurt myself; it's my first time dealing with the spiritual realm in that manner. Now I'll learn from my mistakes, and when I start setting up corrupt energy rituals so I can practice breaking them down, I shouldn't botch it and hurt myself again.
At least, not that way...

What KT was doing is a very tame method for makeing sure a departed soul is saved from the abyss, or can be reunited with thier body if a resurection can be preformed. The dangerous grounds of necromancy comes from creating zombies, animating the dead or useing the darker spells to destroyu a soul. KT needed a good grounding to prevent the back lash, and he needs to rember to check with others who may have a bit more knowledge in the area of magic he is dabbleing (hint the one typing this post for example) in before trying some of the spells.

PS: Are you bringing your horse?
Horse?
You traded in your wings
For everything freedom brings
You never left me
You never let me
See what this feeling means
Everything that you feel
Is everything that I feel
So when we dream
We shout....
For everything freedom brings
You never left me
You never let me
See what this feeling means
Everything that you feel
Is everything that I feel
So when we dream
We shout....

It already has, though not in the way you mean. KT has been dealing with necromancy ever since that attempt on his life shortly after he found the Society. At first he had to overcome it to protect his family, now he has to learn it to save a friend.

I'm not so sure if I trust this necromancy shit at all, but... KT and Gabe have shown Zack and I nothing but kindness, given us advice, help, and even supplies when we needed it (Zack, did you give them back the charms and talismans and everything?). I don't know about Koralth, but I for one choose to trust KT's judgment.
Ron, I don't know much about necromancy but what I see in films like Shawn of the Dead, or any other undead flick, but I'm going to trust in the age old wisdom that power in itself is neither inherently good or inherently evil, but, like guns, depends on the will of the user to decide which it will be.

Put everything into what you're doing, use everything you've got, or I'm afraid you won't live to regret it.

I hope I'm not being too dense here, but if you can accept that wisdom so easily... what's the problem? Sure, some items and tools make murder more easy, but they also make saving others more easy, too. I'm just not seeing what the fuss is all about? Not to attack you or anything, I'm just a little confused.

Ah, the whole two way mirror thing, huh? I still have trouble buying zombies, I still think the idea is stupid, but everyone here seems pretty sure of their existence, so I guess I'll just have to wait until I meet one... I think, at this time, I'll withdraw from the conversation, I've got nothing left to say here, and thinking about this stuff is giving me the heebie-jeebies.

Lemme just say this, and get it out of the way... I am a liberal.
Having said that, I am *not* a Democrat... I feel that the Democrats don't do enough, in general, or they, like any other politicians, posture for votes more than they do anything for more sincere reasons...
I won't say anything more on the topic, but I don't really like any politicians, on either side of the fence...
('Cept maybe Obama. I do hope he makes it in the running for president, next term...)

How would any of us know whether or not democracy sucks? It's not like we live in one... We live in a republic. If we lived in a democracy, we might actually have a say in what goes on in our own lives...
Heaven forbid THAT ever happen. >_<
