Found vamp nest, need assistance.

Post by DarKnyht »

I have located one of the nests of vampires in the city, and am going to need some assistance in taking them out. But be prepared, there are a large number of them and we are going to have to strike from multiple entry points.

If you are interested contact me and I will send the details.

Let me know if you need any special toys, I've got a workshop in my new house and can crank out a few.

Got anyone there that knows chemistry, mechanical engineering, and a little bit about electricity?

If so I can send you schematics for a few of the devices I have come up with. They may prove usefull, or they may prove to be a nuisance, effectiveness is unknown - but the theory is sound.

One of my latest ideas is to replace the copper slug in an explosively shaped penetrator projectile with one of silver. A medium to large slug of molten silver moving at supersonic speeds cannot be pleasant for anything sensative to that particular metal, should work with other substatutions as well.

I was thinking we just get the Fire Department to flood the place.

D.K., I can be there immediately. Send me info as to when and where you want to me. I will come ready to let loose.

Kei, I am extremely well familiar with chemistry, eletronics and mechanics, send me what you got. I can build it. I have built alot of my own toys that I use.

Interesting idea with the shaped charge liner . .. though I don't know how the differing properties of copper and silver would affect that.

I'm also a little wary of explosives in general. I typically work in areas that have an abundance of innocents around who I'd rather not be responsible for the deaths of.

Still, if you send the plans, I'll see what I can work with.

Sent the necessaries to each of you. Glad to have the assistance.

Bert, the delay will give Ghost and Pendragon time to look over my rough plan and fix any potential problems we might have.

So how are you going to get the FD to flood the place without giving the vamps enough time to evac?

I'm not opposed to commendeering a fire truck and crew with my badge. Alternatively we set off the sprinkler system.

Also, pulling up in a fireruck should give plenty of oppourtunity for them to get out of there.

Khavik had only a few seconds to escape the sun and he was apparently long gone.

Also true. If we strike during the day, they will only have a few avenues of escape. If we can cut those off we can bring in a water truck if we wanted.

That's where getting the building's blueprints is essential. One of the things I covered durign the training retreat.

How big was the hole Khavik needed?

How do we know this place isn't just a trap to lure out hunters? DarKnyht found it pretty easily aftertall.

You make good points Ron. Remind me to get someoen to teach me that Globe of Daylight spell at some point.

It wasn't all that easy to find. The only reason I did was because I talked with the homeless. The place used to be a place where homeless would go sleep, however in the past 5 years it became known as a place where people disappeared. These days, they just avoid it.

And if the homeless do not go, it has to be bad news.

(fixed silly typo)

Given the good condition of the building, something had to be wrong with it. Homeless here use anything, especially in the winter. This building hardly has anything wrong with it, except that all the windows in the front are boarded up. The homeless I talked to said that no one will go near it now. The last guy that did showed up two days later in the river with his throat torn out.

Talking to the homeless, good plan Dark.

So how did you confirm that vampires are in the place? Are you sure they are using it as their refuge during the day or is it just their feeding place during the night? Vampires rarely eat at home.

When I went there to look at the place in the afternoon, I could feel them in there. I watched for a few nights from a very safe distance and observed them going out at dusk, returning by dawn. If the stories I was told are to be believed the ones killed were all taken elsewhere for the actual kill. Hence the bodies being in or by one of the rivers.
