I've always been fascinated by dragons. Even though I've seen many wonderful (and terrible) things over these past five years which I had previously thought were only myth and legend, it would still be unreal to meet a dragon.

I'm sorry to report a mission failure... We suspect there to be a group of psionicists and mages, possibly all cultists, who are behind the murders at the apartment building that we were investigating.

Unfortunately, one staff and a handful of tenants have vanished without a trace. Most of the vanished tenants, as it turned out, had left false information about themselves, and have completely vanished from the radar. When we caught up with the few now-former tenants who had left, we discovered that they had only run out of a paranoid fear of being next.

The killers may turn up again, at some point. Please keep your eyes and ears open, and I apologize profusely for letting this happen. The Legacy Investigation Agency will not make a habit of it.

Listen, anyone who works the investigative scene runs across some very tempting red herrings or false leads. These guys are good! Some of the guys at the station were totally baffled by these incidents. You're not the only ones searching, and you're certainly not the only ones who didn't pick up the right trail.

Zack, you picked a great time to up and leave, there's been another murder here. four room mates were found dead in their townhome residence on the corner of Wise and Irving Park. They were college students attending Harper College in Palatine. There were no signs of breaking and entering. All four were drowned in the bathtub, and laid out on the entryway. There's very little to go on for this case, our CSI guys are baffled. It may or may not be related to what Legacy posted earlier, which is why I've even bothered posting it here... If anyone has any no bullshit information, I'd appreciate it.

Don't worry Logos, Zack's on his way back to the Burbs.

Though you might want to let him catch some sleep first. He looks worse than I do. :?

Your lack of grammar is not reassuring... If you promise to cooperate fully with me, I can get you in no problem... My partner and I have found no clues whatsoever, and investigation on this one feels like I'm beating my head against a wall. And as for Zack, he did it to himself. He didn't have to go waltzing out of town, posing as some sort of hero. Talking swords, Zack. I haven't spoken with any talking swords yet. This is something you need to mend, or else I'm contacting your therapist. See you tomarrow.

I *ahem* just got home. Reading your rants about what a horrible person *ahem* I am for having left to rescue a friend *ahem* from what would have been a *ahem* fatal situation if no one went. Logos, I'm sorry *ahem* I dropped the ball, but *ahem* questioning MY sanity doesn't help anything out. If Karlash can get over here at *ahem* some point to satisfy your desire to see that I am indeed NOT CRAZY then FINE, but having to justify myself to YOU is something *ahem* that I thought I'd never have to do...

Geez, sorry! Mitch again. I CAN type properly, but it's faster to just type like I do normally.

I was on the phone with Amy, our boss, when I posted that. She's the one in charge of the Agency. And yeah, we're willing to cooperate fully, but we'd love it if we could get some added help in there. If that is what we were dealing with, then these guys are some serious kind of professional.

Zack, seriously man, you need to take a couple of days off. I'd be more than happy to help cover for you, call in as a "family member" or something. I owe you big time for saving my bacon.

And Logos, when i've rested up, i'll be more than happy to drive up to your newck of the woods and you & Karlash can have a nice chit-chat.

Hmm maybe I should drop by and offer to explain, and show Logos a few things?

I may be cold, but at least I have reality in check. Maybe one of you should show me a few things, help me understand what it is that you all know that 99.9% of the population is totally oblivious to. Zack hasn't been the same since he came back. He's been detached, depressed, generally out of it. What the hell did you put him through?

Ugh.... I should specify, then, that I mean what happened before YESTERDAY! Earlier this week. After he ran off like an idiot. He won't talk about it. I want to know what the hell happened.

Damned if I know. I wasn't there. Why don't you and a few cop buddies take a few days off and come visit some of us and see what goes on for yourselves.

Logos! I'm *ahem* fine. I just... haven't felt like talking about it. We might talk later, but stop *ahem* harassing everyone here over something that isn't... *ahem* anyone's problem but my own. You've been so *ahem* pushy lately, it's not even funny! I figure it's *ahem* natural that you're concerned, but you're just *ahem* just being plain aggressive. It's not fair to *ahem* yourself that you're closing your mind to this just because I've hit a slump, and it's *ahem* certainly not fair to everyone here. You said *ahem* earlier that I was being emotional, that I shouldn't go because I'm crazy, but just read what you've said and tell me with a straight look on your face that you're not being emotional.

Zack I am going to try and stop by soon, I am going to have a couple of people with me. Hopefully between them and myself we can get you a little calmer, and show Logos a bit of the real world, or at least the one we deal with, and you have become entangeled in.

Logos: As far as I know, nothing really bad happened to Zack when he was in Charleston. That being said, I remember nothing about what happened at the warehouse and can't really give you my own opinion on the fight that went on there. From what Shadow told me, it got pretty brutal there for a few minutes.

Zack: I'm worried about you man. You did seem a little off when we talked. Karlash didn't sense anything wrong with you when you held him, but he wasn't really looking for anything other than evil anyways.

I think it's time for me to go north.

Uhm... Well, Zack and I were talking to Shadowstalker tonight... He showed me what he's capable of, and well... I suppose I owe an apology. I went in expecting full well to discredit every photo that Shadow brought in, but... These weren't photos. I also found out why Zack is so upset recently, and I can understand why. This is a lot to take in.

I think I'm feeling better after talking to Shadow and co.. I just had a lot to get off my chest. I knew that all this was real, but I've never been in a situation like what happened this week before in my life.

This line of work isn't for the faint of heart or frail of will.

I've done a lot of thinking this week, as to whether or not I'm going to stay... There's nothing quite so humbling as the realization of your own mortality made so painfully obvious... Mr. Bullfrog had said that I wouldn't be able to put my money where my mouth was, and at that time, he was probably right... But, despite that, I'm going to continue to be a part of the society, and give what input I can. In a way, I think Bass has given me a valuable lesson: He has given me knowledge as to what I'm up against. Logos and I might not be around much for a while, I think we both have a lot to sit and ponder on... You're totally right, Ron. This kind of business isn't for the weak. I *ahem* I want everyone to know, though that I'm not weak.

Legacy, I believe we had a deal in the works. Are you still interested in cooperating with the police to investigate the murders?

This is Amy McAllister. I apologize for how long it took me to get back to you... I was finishing a stakeout. If I weren't being paid so well for it, I would've almost considered dropping it to come investigate this, instead...

If it is tied to our murder mystery that we were investigating before, I think I want to hold off proceeding until we can get some psychic firepower in there...

Anyone interested in helping, please contact us ASAP.

In the meantime, Logos, yes, we will do anything we can to assist the police in this investigation. If you could please fax us any information you can, we would appreciate it.

If you need anything else, Mitch will be here... The others and I need to try to catch up on what sleep we can.

Don't worry Zack, I think we just need to get you some new toys. Maybe a couple of magic items & weapons and some heavier firepower. Oh, and get yourself some silver bullets!!

What do you say folks, anyone want to make a donation?

I'll start with a Ring of Senses (will alert you whenever evil is around you, so don't ever wear it near lawfirm), and a silver dagger.

If you would like, I can send a UV tactical light and some reactive marker rounds I have left over from a tracking experiment that I was involved in. The UV worked great at making both the bullet splats and the ectoplasm visible for us, but unfortunately the only thing the rounds hit were a concrete wall and a minivan.
