Post ritual weirdness

First off, a BIG thank you to Zack and Shadowstalker & Co. Thanks to their timely assistance, the Voice's plans were foiled. Still, it was a blood bath (at least for the cultists). Out of the 30+ cultists the voice had with him, only half a dozen survived. Two of those probably won't live out the week, with their wounds being so serious. It should be noted that Shadow and Zack worked very hard to minimize casualties amongst the cultists. Unfortunately the Voice didn't share their humanitaianism and sacrificed some of his own men to cover his escape. I'd also like to point out that I got all of this info 2nd hand; I can't seem to remember a damn thing of what happened that night. I don't even remember the posts I made here.

Which brings me to the meat of the post. Some very weird shit has been happening to me lately and it has me worried. Alot of it comes and goes, but one things seem to have remained stable: unexplained psionic abilities. I don't have any psychic abilities, so for me to be evincing such abilities is really freaky. So far the only abilities i've found myself capable of have been telekinesis, bio-regeneration and see auras.

I have no idea what kind of ritual the Voice was working, but it seems to have had some unforseen side effects on me. My team is still sifting through the warehouse for clues and I hope to have at least an idea of what the Voice was trying to accomplish, soon.

Sounds like he was planning on using you as a ritual focus, rather than a sacrifice. Probably with the aimed end result that of transforming you into a host form for one thing or another. Obviously, to use you to best effect, you would have to be enhanced. And with the ritual interupted... you've got the enhancements, and the freedom of will intact.

For some reason that just doesn't comfort me Adama. Still, hopefully by Sunday we'll have found something in the Voice's hideout that will help explain what happened.

Oh, and Bert, It's good to be seen. Even if i'm only mostly well.

KT, the last time you cast the runes for me they came up with the magic eight ball equivalent of "ask again later". Still, i'm gratefull for the offer and might just take you up on it.

Heh... Nothing in life is 100%. I never claimed to be omniscient... Just that with my runes and magics, I can see a bit more than the next guy.

A little pessimistic, yea, but I don't blame her. 90% of her life has been painful and torturous. Her mental endurance is amazing. I likely would have blown my head off a long time ago if I suffered half what she has.

She is a closet optimist, though, and she is slowly pushing the door open. Cosmologically slow, so it may be difficult to notice.

On the other hand, she is absolutely correct: tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Your not the only one Bert. Soon after meeting Kolya and Natasha, Kolya gave me a bit of a heads up on her. He gave me only the basics of what she had been put through, and I was already willing to find the bastards and explain a new meaning of pain to them. But Kolya told me it was dealt with already. So I dropped it so as not to upset Natasha. Still make me Mad as Hell thou when I think about it.

I had to explain to Hannah some of what Natasha told her about her past via a PM . . . it's rather difficult to have that kind of talk with your jaw wired. Rather earlier in the Father-Daughter relationship than I hoped for either. Fortunately she's a farm kid, so the biologics of it were pretty easy.

GhostSpider, keep a journal, document everything strange and differet. Hopefully we can understand what they did and what they were going to do to you.

Odds are, they will be coming back for round two.

If you don't mind me asking, if you do start recording everything, I'd like a copy of it, too... I really want to find out what kind of rituals they were performing on and around you.

Everything about this is making my skin crawl... I swear I saw Windner in my sleep last night, when I was thinking about this and that disk... I don't know why. I don't remember if it was a prophetic dream or what... I just remember waking up with his face fresh in my memories, as if I'd seen him just before I crashed for the night.

I just wanna say for the record, I don't like this.

Windner himself? No, probably not. He'd need a physical manifestation in our realm to perpetuate the disks, and it doesn't sound like that problem is old enough to be his doing.

It is, however, his style, so far as I understand it...but then again, creating rituals to have people killed and culled is an ages-old "style", used by necromancers of all shapes, colors, and sizes everywhere...so that could just be a coincidence.

Well guys, even with the minor interruption of me somehow teleporting myself from South Carolina to Illinois, I have begun documenting all the weird things that have been happening to me as well as all the info my team has dug up from the warehouse. Hey, does anyone know somebody on the Charleston PD? We need to get into their evidence locker so that we can see the evidence they collected from the scene.
