Sabnock, Who is he?

I have had a recent series of run-ins with some cult proclaiming themselves to be followers of Sabnock, all of them had a strange tattoo on their forehead...can anyone give me any info as to who this Sabnock is?

oh dear... demons are not exactly my area of expertise, but I do know more than a little about them, if I do say so myself. I've found a passage from "The Lesser Key of Solomon" by Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers and Aleister Crowley... that, in itself, is bad news.

the passage reads roughly like this: The Forty-third Spirit, as King Solomon commanded them into the Vessel of Brass, is called Sabnock, or Savnok. He is a Marquis, Mighty, Great and Strong, appearing in the Form of an Armed Soldier with a Lion's Head, riding on a pale-coloured horse. His office is to build high Towers, Castles and Cities, and to furnish them with Armour. Also he can afflict Men for many days with Wounds and with Sores rotten and full of Worms. He giveth Good Familiars at the request of the Exorcist. He commandeth 50 Legions of Spirits; and his seal is this.


The tatoos these men have on their foreheads, do they perhaps look like that?

Oh joy...just what I needed, more work. I really, really hate demons. And yes, their tattoos did look just like that.

Does anyone have anything more current on Sabnock? I've done what I can to research him, but all that I can find is old stuff. I would appreciate any current info, because i think that they may be trying to release Sabnock from Solomon's binding.
