Yea, when I was in San Diego people were quite baffled.

How was Mother Russia's weather when you were there last?

Like Natasha noted, the winter has been unusually warm - and even insulting for some like Natasha - but is somewhat normalising back to permanent snow cover and cold temperatures.
Well, I guess it gave the poets something else to lament about for a period of time.
Personally speaking, it has to be really cold before I begin to notice, so I am not the best judge...

Given some of the examples of women coming out of Russia these days, I think an excuse not to hide in a winter coat would be a compliment for someone like Natasha.
I swear Stalin must have started a eugenics program that only began to show its results in the late 1980s.

hahaha.. ow my ribs.
Once again, though, you did not just put the hammer on the head, you put it through the wall.
I may have to reconsider my view of Stalin now.

And that is why you wait in the truck for us, even if you in the hurry
Right Bert? or was it Holister?

Why does everyone think I was making a joke?

I for one did not, I thought it was a commentary or observation.

I think she thought you may have said something. Her English is pretty good, but she can misunderstand things easily from time to time.
I can tell this: she secretly finds us here refreshing. The reason she has buried her nose in books all her life are the results of the actions and words of sinister men....

The world is regretably full of those.
There is a nice de-sinisterizing operation that can be performed . . . I hear it can even be done with anesthetic, though I've not heard of many sinsister men receiving that benefit.

I don't know. It has made her mind incredibly strong. I do not know, would taking that away weaken the foundation of her mental strength. I mean, seriously, she comes into field work and almost immediately thrown in a mud pit (as well as suffering some physical abuse), has a fresh human heart handed to her that Del dipshit guy, and other than throwing up she has taken it all very well. I do not know of anyone who handled such a dramatic first step into the field with the mental steel she has.

I'm not saying we do anything to her, the operatrion planned is for the sinister fellow.

Its a great movie. It starts off kind of slow but it really picks up. And its given me some ideas over the years.

I can imagine some of the ideas it gave you and they are mean but very effective.

Most (but not all) of them are already dead, as far as I know. It is not something we talk about very much. i only met her face to face a few months ago and prior communications were just business type emails and the occassional phone call.
