Searching for the truth.

I am not certain this is the best way to go about this, but at this time I can think of no other options.

I want everyone to list the things that Konrad is accused of doing. If you are not comfortable posting it here then PM me and I will annotated that it is added to the list. I know a lot of this information has already been posted, but it is scattered through out the board. This will allow things to be consolidated.

Once this is done I will then seek out those who may be able to provide answers.

The first thing we need is a time line, so let's look at the when of things as well as the what.

To get the ball rolling, I was called on the Dec 1st by someone stating his name to be Konrad. He described in horrific detail his murdering of a man.

He, or his evil twin, has been following my daughter around - and attacked Eilonwy when she tried to figure out who it was.

He's at least guilty of being stupid.

I hate rune weapons.

Thanks Ron.

Kolya, do you say this to infer that you are not guilty of this same offence? I will honestly admit to doing many stupid things over the years. Luckily I have thus far continued to come out on top.
Kolya wrote:I hate rune weapons.

Is this your issue or his? Do you infer that he is untrustworthy because of he uses a rune weapon?

Or are you just making smart-aleck remarks that will accomplish little and may actually hinder things.

I had to handle a Rune Weapon once. I used tongs and a hazardous materials container.

Not all rune weapons are evil...though enough are that such precautions wouldn't normally be seen as over-the-top.

There're other magically-endowed weapons as well... The most powerful of these are called, simply, "artifacts", and rival rune weapons in power and ability...except they're usually a bit more cooperative, in my experience.

...

We've gotta get Claw back...

I don't do stupid things, especially astronomically stupid things like fuck with rune weapons.

I'm not infering anything. I am saying outright, he is untrustworthy. And anyone that's tried to deal with him to find answers just doesn't get anything done. In fact, it just keeps getting worse. He dodges questions. Gives fuzzy answers. And people around here are OK with that.

He's leading you all around on a leash.

Keep him out of my reach.

This is an example of intelligent decision making.

Alright Kolya, you through the gauntlet, now here is my riposte.

1.I did not know Karlash was a rune weapon, up until the point when he started talking to me, and by then it was far to late. Not that I regret having him around.

2.Have you ever asked yourself this one simple question. Do I really have the answers to the questions you all keep asking? No, well at least not then. I have more info now, so ask your questions again, and we'll see what happens.

I don't believe you. Rune weapons are more obvious than the nose on your face. You're going to have to jump through some hoops to prove that one.
And since you didn't mind haveing him around, it doesn't really matter.

Why should I trust you?

When I first found Karlash, I couldn't have told you the difference between a rune weapon and a standard weapon.

Why should I trust you?

Thats really your decision, not mine.

Maybe you're lying. Maybe you're telling the truth.
But like I said, once you did know, you didn't do anything about it.
So you're still guilty as hell.

It's for all of us here to decide. It's one you should have show more vested interest in.

Kolya: RAWR!!!

But he does make a good point GS. No one wants to trust you more than me, but I just don't know anymore. If there is anything I can do, you let me know. I try my best to help you, but at this point I can't tell if you pulling legs or really trying to get answers.

I can see that in this situation, words are cheap. When I have the head of whoever has set me up, then we can decide who can trust who.

As for rune weapons, lets just agree to disagree.

Natasha, thanks for the support.

I can get you a head by 3 o'clock. So?

What is being done to solve this problem we're facing?

What is a rune weapon?

Apparently a weapon that talks to it's owner.

A rune weapon is a weapon crafted by a powerful mage, with runes etched somewhere along the body (be it the blade if it's a sword or a dagger, or around the handle if it's a hammer, and so on)... The runes empower the weapon with a magical will of its own.

There are other weapons out there with wills that are not rune weapons, and not all of them tend to be as dangerous as RW's... Claw, for example, was the spirit of a dragon, who was willingly inhabiting a sword.

I hate not knowing what Khavik's doing with/to Claw...but I barely have the energy to keep my wards up, lately...let alone go hunting...

With Khavik, I doubt it will be that simple.

The end result will be, one less monster.
