My Family

For the longest time, I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that those who hade taken me in had done so for the compensation provided, when introduced to strangers I was always introduced my the surname "Nakamura" rather than "Watanabe". Although the father I knew was I kind man, and remaianed calm even in the face of seemingly insurmountable medical obstacles, I could not help but feel some degree of alienation. if you have any knowledge of my culture you can imagine what it is like to grow up without a surname of your own, but rather one tht has been bought and paid for.
For the last twenty five years I have tried to discover a name of my own, one that was mine by birthright, in my failures I decided to make the name "Nakamura" mine by right of deed rather than heritage. Now I face greater questions than those any mere research and gathering of information can give. who am I? From whom do I spring? What deeds does my family family lay claim to? What deeds do they seek to hide from the world? These questions and more once again rule my days, just as disturbing dreams rule my nights.
I am willing to accept my own weakness, my own failures, if only to recieve answers.
My honor, and my families honor, means little in the face of the storm that now consumes me.
