Someone raided my archives, got into some very secured files which I had sealed using a triple redundant high security protocol. Normaly this would indicate to me that some agency with a large backing wanted the data pretty bad, but this time the files in question were wiped from the host drive, thankfully I do have backups of the files, but the contents of the files, the skill required to get them (they were stored in a server that only opens for 3 minutes a day on a random IP access point) and the fact they were deleted after the pilfering is what concerns me.
The contents of the file included the Yunagi Monument files recovered after Mr. Li's death, As well as all of my footage and research on the Dover incident, The dig that I found in the middle east, as well as several other locations that are of interest to me due to teh fact that they are referenced in myths from all of the nearby (and some not so nearby) cultures.
Mr. Pendragon, can you tell me if there have been any "strange" archeological finds in London lately, like a large stone disk with sigils carved on it in many languages under what would have been the central fountain of Londinium?
Mr. Koyla, Ms. Natasha, anything ancient and odd found in or near the port of Archangelsk?

That sucks.
We'll have a look and get back to you. In the meantime if you have any further details that might help us, you can PM me. Otherwise, I will be in touch... just after I get to a breaking point since we are also getting ready to head on over to the States.

That shows a lot of skill, Kei. But when you allowed access to the files on to the internet you punched a large hole in their security. Was there an overwhelming reason for hosting a remote connection on the server?
Also, were there any logs remaining on the wiped drives? Heavy data-wipes take time and if you stopped the process soon enough there are methods for recovering partial data. Part of the reason that they suggest you wipe a hard disk multiple times with garbage data.
If you think there is a chance there will still be data on the drive, contact me. This is one of the areas that my company specializes in. You would be amazed how many people are dumb enough to keep a electronic record of their infidelity, embezzlements, or other such activity. And you would be further amazed how many do a poor job of covering their tracks.

DarKnyht, the remote access was and is necessary in order to be able to continually update the files contained within. Only 3 people knew how the IP switching protocal used it's algorithems to change the adresses each time, only 2 of us knew how the encryption protocal worked to encrypt the files, and I was the only one who knew what the code that was fed to the algorthems for those processes to generate their sequences. I have already gone ove rthe logs, I doubt they would be very helpfull, as they show obvious signs of tampering and overwriting. I am in the process now of creating a secondary back up so that I can proceed to invistegate the deeper magnetic layers of the disc, which will hopefully allow me to recover the damaged logs, one entry at a time.
My coder for the portal died of a heart attack 6 years ago, nothing surprising given his age, diet and the fact that he almost never left his chair.
The data security specialist with whom I made the encryption protocal was lost in the last big quake as the building he was in came down around him.
Koyla, thanks, my mobile platform seems to still be secure, you may contact me through IM.
GhostSpider, Shadowstalker, that cannot be confirmed, but the files did include a copy of most of what i was able to glean from those discs, I was howver prudent enough to keep my hypothesis on how safely locked in my own head.

I was howver prudent enough to keep my hypothesis on how safely locked in my own head.
Considering the world we are in, I would consider revising that statement.

On a similar note, an unexpected houseguest erased a chunk of footage from my security cameras at home.
They didn't get my offsite data storage copies though, so I know who they are and what they did.

Uh?
Am I jumping to wrong assumption, or would I be right in this is related to your coment to Bert in the party at the shore bit?

Care to share? Or did you find out something odd like Bert was somewhere else at the time, and has people to vouch for him?

by Ron Caliburn
No, he was there at the time.
Still trying to piece it together . . starting to think an other was also around.

Ok who eles do you think was there, and why was Bert there in the first place?

He was there because of Eilonwy.

Very well Mr. Caliburn, these boards are yours, no need to start new topics or create new discussions, you can all of them that already exist, you people do not even respect teh sanctity of a place to remember the dead, how could I expect you to be well behaved elsewhere.
Enjoy the the flight hijackers, the pilot of this plane just bailed out.

Not the most tactful way to ask, but still a valid question. Kei you do seem more on edge are the dreams effecting you that much?

I am not yet agressive, merely tired. Tired of a great many things, and no longer willing to bite my tongue on all of them, I simply do not have the energy left.
This lack of controll over myself is shamefull, but I am simply too tired to expend the energy to be "nice" when there is so much that must be done, in so little time, with so little information.

Well then, I've got two words and a letter for you Kei; Take a break.
Take a day off and do something relaxing. Get some sleep, meditate, walk through a garden, read a novel, etc.
You're not going to be any help to anyone if you work yourself into an early grave. Not to mention that snapping at us, especially those of us who are already on edge, is just going to cause more trouble.

Ghost may have a point. I know you feel as if you need to deal with things now, but if you are to tired to see the answer...
Like he said take a moment, several in fact Meditate, rest, let you mind calm a little and give your mind time deal with the information you are already dealing. And perhaps things that weren't making sense will start to click into place.
Stress can be the greatest enemy to an investigator, as it can make you miss the most obvious things, or not notice that one thing that ties everything together.
Just a thought.

Ms. Nakamura Do you still want me to look over those files I would be more than willing. Perhaps Then you could relax and then you and I coul discuss them, though you may have to explain part of them to me.
Besides Mr. Greydawn says that sometimes teaching is the best way to learn.
