I apologize for my sudden absence from the boards. I have been dealing with some health issues that have had me in the hospital for the past few weeks. I am still trying to play catchup with my business and everything else that was put on hold.

Hopefully I will be back on before too much longer.

At this point, they are not sure. I am dealing with a wide variety of issues. It started as a cold that wouldn't go away and turned in to a full-blown major allergic reaction to something that has yet to be identified. I barely made it to the ER this last time, and had I not taken benadryl when I did I probably would not have (my eyes were swelling shut along with my throat).

This all seems to have started after I left OH, and I am starting to forced to believe that it is caused by something I was exposed to there.

Don't like the sounds of that.
Hopefully you get it handled.

I’m glad you’re still with us, Erik. I wish you luck in identifying your illness. And recovering from it. Our thoughts are with you.

If you can think of any way we can help you, give a holler.

Anybody else who was there having a lingering effect?

I am starting to believe that it is something I came into contact with while I was underneath the town. However, I am not sure exactly what it was. I am going to try to locate someone with more expertise in this type of situation.

Do you have anything that you took down there that has not been cleaned? If so send it to me. In order to determine if there are any pathogens down there I need samples for testing.

Get some hazmat gear and go back.

Unfortunately not, everything has been scrubbed down because at first I thought it was an allergy issue.

I am going to try to head in that direction this weekend. I think I can still find my way into the old town and get into the caverns below it. Perhaps there will be something there that I missed because my mind was being attacked before.

Be careful, Erik.

Would you object to the use of a class 4 biohazard suit and kit while you are there? I can arrange to have one delivered once I know where.

I will make sure to include a decon suite along with the kit.

I think that might be a little overkill in this case. If there was something down there I would believe that it would be more mystical than biological.

I appreciate the offer however, and if anything changes I will let you know.

They are great when operating against nacarants.

Nacarants?

Also known as Scarlet Hunters.

They are extremely nasty phosphorescent goo piles that react quickly to flesh. And if it is your flesh, it is a fatal reaction, unless you manage to lop your arm off before it spreads past your shoulder and covers your entire body in a matter of minutes.

Once they have absorbed the initial body they go on a killing spree. They are powerful mages on top of it all.

Flamable is a useful trait in a monster.

Very flamable is better.

Very flammable is not so good - then they might set other stuff on fire.

I meant react very positively to fire. Well, very negatively from their point of view.
