Sappington Bridge

I took the opportunity to visit Scotty and Sappington Bridge (topozone and google maps) after reading Michael's report on it. I was intrigued that so many spirits were concentrated there and that he felt confident to say that it was a Place of Magic or still is, just not an overly powerful one. Now I am not psychic so my investigation was centered what I got: eyes that can see spirits, ghosts, life essences, and the like, and a nose for supernatural evil. I came across no evil and only one spirit. He said his name is Bill and he has been "haunting" Sappington Bridge since 1983. When I asked about the other spirits he said that he was the only one. He said that he was unhappy with all the kids coming to the bridge and partying there and these "silly rumours of ghost canoeists and what not only serves to attract more of these pesky kids". Whether or not he is lying - although it is possible he does not actually know about the other spirits - and just because he has no knowledge of this place as a Place of Magic (although he cannot explain why he haunts the bridge, he never actually crossed it all his living life), I think that dedicated psychic researchers and investigators would be able to spend quite a bit of time unraveling this mysterious bridge. Bill's a grumpy old man, but nice, so try not to bother him.

Also, I have an update on Skeeter that I will get around to posting just as soon as I finish chasing down a lead or two. Or maybe I will just have Scotty do it with Janet leaning over his shoulder as he playz dum on the interwebz.

Among our colleagues Sappington Bridge is being considered a transitional place of power. "That would certainly explain the fairly sudden freakshow," explained Vanya the semi-mad genius, "and the vibe that the mage that visited there was getting."

But I would expect more spirits to be found there and between Michael and Sasha, only one was found. Well, not impossible to buy, but still seems, um, fishy.

Also, Skeeter does not really live near Sappington Bridge. Although that guy from Michigan may have been checking the bridge out, it is nearly impossible he could have floated all the way to the sandbar. At many parts you can wade through the river and all the trees that are in the water. Well, it just seems that he would have snagged at some point closer to the bridge.

In any case there is something about Sappington Bridge that justifies an in-depth investigation by paranormal researchers and investigators. After all, Bill could have been lying through his non-existing teeth to Sasha, and we cannot forget Michael's assessment, and mage of his experience would not misread, I believe.

Ivan the semi-mad genius was wrong in 1985. The first and last instance. And that was when he recited pi to 500 digits, flubbing the 465th digit. He has since then gotten flawlessly up to more than 1000 and the powers of 2 and 3 up to 100 or something like that.

Human Calculator and very much a genius.

She understands what I say, although not always why I say it. My bet's on Ivan.

Kolya on the other hand throws her curve balls like Eminem wants to be black (to borrow a phrase from Long, Willie).

I aknowledge I go out looking for trouble all the time - my encounters with it are rarely by chance.
