I have been working with it for a while, anyone familiar?

Not personally, what is it?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voynich_manuscript this has the basics. If this is not enough then I assume you are familar enough to know of the dificulties I am encountering, and my excitement at the fact I am showing progress in my work. The Phenomena in Dover may have the key that I am looking for, it was the only other hit on several of the symbols in the seal.

I'm not sure wheter this is bad news or worse news f it's related to what's happening in Dover.

Every time I heard about it, the word English equivalent of "bullshit" usually follows.
But I do not hang out with supergeeks. They make me feel strange.

You hang out with Natasha

Alright, 1 supergeek at a time. I can't cope otherwise..

So now I am a "mostly scarey" "supergeek"??

So much of what we deal with could be real, could be fake, could be somehtign totlly different - is' impossible to know before the last of the riddle is unravled.

Natasha, yes. But you're not listing all of your good qualities, only those two.

What?! Can't I pay a lady a compliment?
Posted: Thu May 03, 2007 2:48 am
by Ron Caliburn
As long as that's all you pay them, you have many a man's adoration.

Geeze Ron, you must think I'm a real dog.

Scarey is a compliment?

by Bert_the_Turtle
It can be!

In what context?
"Oh my god..."
"What? What!"
"You're scarey."
"Do me, stud!"

by Bert_the_Turtle
Some people like to be considered scarey!

Okay, this is about as far off topic as we can drift. . .
WHat's going on with the manuscript?

Well the manuscript had a lot of the same symbols as the seal in dove, that was confirmed. I was only able to break one of the cyphers encrypting the text, and it was mostley banal stuff, detailed explanations of the inner workings of various plants. Remarkably accurate when you consider the science and technology of the era in which the manuscript was written. Although teh names are different, the functions are about as accurate as what you would find in a textbook on botany at a university that offers anything over a 4 year degree in botany.

Interesting . . . but not much worth.

It depends on what they catalogued.
There might be entries in there like "X, also cures Lycanthropy in sufficient dosages."

She didn't say they were catalogued as such and I suspect that she woul have if they were.

Silver cures lycanthropy as far I know.

I don't see silver so much as a cure as a solution.
Posted: Sun Jul 15, 2007 6:45 pm
by Kolya
I don't see the difference.

I suppose you wouldn't.

I agree Kolya on this.

That's like saying a cure for cancer is the same as killing the person who gets it.
