Iridium flare?

Satellite flare is a well known phenomenon to even amateur astronomers - and probably those of you UFOologists out there. The US government's Iridium satellites "flare" with predictability down to the second and are sometimes so bright you can see them during the day. But they are particularly dramatic at night. As the ground-based observer standing in night, these satellites are hundreds of miles up and can pass through sunlight. Their reflective parts make them seem to flare as they pass through the sunlight - Venus is approaching its brightest in the night time sky and these flares can be even brighter than that.
Sasha's secret magical spell (astronomy for fun and profit) has been exposed.
Anyway, some of our researchers have been contacted by an amateur astronomer. One night, cannot say which, he was taking a four hour exposure of a deep space object, I think a galaxy or something. Anyone taking such long exposures is going to make sure there will be no satellites flaring in that sector of the sky during the exposure. So when a long streak of bright light showed up on his exposure his first though was "Iridium flare, but that's impossible!"
Indeed, it was impossible as there were no satellites in that region that would flare.

Some radar operators out in the Far East District tracked a UFO for 64 seconds, it was flying high in the atmosphere before the blip just stopped blipping. The craft sort of followed the China/North Korea border down the west side of South Korea and back east around the eastern side of Japan, then back west again. The blip stopped somewhere over Vladivostok, Russia.

A fast moving object about the size of venus, travelling from west to east across the island of Honshu? If so I saw it while I was trying to cross reference more possible sites associated with the Ise Temple, didn't get any pictures, sorry, but I may be able to pull up some data from collegues in teh astronomy field.

Well there is enough likeness on the surface to start digging a little deeper.

How close is Vladvistok to Arhangelsk? I would hate to anger your government when I start probing this.

It doesn't get much further apart than those two cities.
Vladivostok, obviously, is next to Japan, while Arkhangelsk is on the White Sea opposite the Kola Peninsula (which borders Finland and Norway, of course).

Sorry a little rusty on my geography of the area, haven't done my research on it. I won't embarass myself in such a manner again, I promise.
Anyway, I am checking with the major observatories, and reputable backyard astronomers, asking about possible meteor, unidentified aircraft, and abnormal sattelite activity. I'll let you know what I come up with after I sift through the data.

No reason to apologise.
I am gathering up some data, too.
I will be in touch.

I got some feedback on the satellite flare.
The staff at the observatory stated they did not see anything, but one of my friends who works in the imaging lab told me that the astronomer who was on watch came to him asking "did you catch that?" and that shortly afterword all teh scientific staff had a meeting with someone who wore a black suit, and when they left the meeting grumbling something about "government interference". The airfield at the Okinawa naval base had a 2 hour loss of all their recording ability at appoximately the time in question.
According to several reputable amature astronomers who were looking at the right section of sky, it could not have been a satellite flare, or a satelite on re-entry as the streak did not have the characteristic taper of such events.
Contacts in Seol stated that shortly after the object was triangulated as crossing over Japan both the north koreans, and the Russians scrambled several groups of fighters, the North Koreans aircraft made one quick circle and then landed.
An aviation buff who was stargazing in the Kamchatka penninsula stated he saw 4 Su 47 fighters attempting persuit with a closure speed of approximately -579 Miles Per Hour, with altitude variance on teh streak that would temd to indicate trans-atmospheric capability. Koyla, do you have any radar records that could confirm this account?
From the description of the color, and shape of the streak, a possible mundane explanation is a top secret Scramjet type craft running a pulse wave engine, using a dive and climb pattern to achive the appropriate supersonic airspeeds within the engines, Only 2 governments in the world have the knowledge and means to build such a craft, and neither one is known to be forthcoming about high altitude aircraft reasearch. The alternative is that we have a craft of non-earthly origin that was undergoing some form of distress as it skimmed our atmosphere. If I have interpreted the data I have gathered corectly Koyla, as well as your posts, if you do not have a mission for your government near the landing/crash site teh craft is probably of terestial origin and belonging to your government.

Very thorough analysis.
Let me take it all in and see what I can find in regards to your questions.

Tracking down a few things, cross-referencings, and such things.
So, yea, so far nothing was found on the ground.

I won't say I understand all the technicals, but I've always kept a load with ET's name on it just in case.

They do reach the surface much more than is comfortable.

You mean they've reached once then.

Indeed they have.

If nothing was found on the ground, my hypothesis of a secret governmental craft must unfortunately stand.
Having had visited the airbase in Okinawa, and seeing the secrecy and security on the Habu, which had been public knowledge for 25 years, I can only imagine how protective and efficient governments are on things that have not yet been leaked or made public.

could be a space craft, not of earthly original. Or perhaps a reverse engineered space craft that crashed.
We got some of those...

I will plug my ears and yel "La la la la la" for you Koyla, no need to stir you up a typhoon in a tea serving.

It may not seem like it at times but I do value the well being of my contacts, and would to be the reason for trouble to come to one.
Yes I am sorry for the trouble I caused with that disc, but I am working with the data stream currently it seems harmless without the video and audio, but there are some disturbing things about the data, an ossiliscope does show that the sound layer should run at in inaudible, bio-active frequency range except for a brief section, and the video feed by the raw data stream should be nothing but static. I hope to have a method of containing or counteracting the effect soon. Some of the otaku at Todai have agreed to make the counter into a fast spreading form in return for a few photographs once I have a functional counter.

Yes, sort of, my mind is currently running away with me, it happens when I am "agitated", but it keeps me from planing actions that would be "regretable".

What I meant is if they have reached earth too many times, then they have obviously reached Earth at least once because once is too much.

This may be my favourite post ever.
Ron is either tied or a very close second.

Indeed it is.
It was quite an influence on my outlook though. For the better - obviously I think so.

The idea of an imminent alien invasion is somethign that drove the folks in the cmpound into becoming more and more armed and isolationist back in the 50s and 60s. By the 80's they had "realized" they were God's chosen and focused on preparations for the end of the world. By the 90's they were convinced that the government had already fallen.
I almost wish I had been there when the millenium changed . . . would have been an interesting experiment in mass hysteria.

They were not too far off, perhaps, about the alien stuff.
It took a while to find out how they found out about us.

No invasion though. But a lot checked us out.
There is really nothing on Earth they want(ed).
