Vampire Infestation in Pittsburgh

I have for the most part finished my investigations into the city. It appears that the city itself is sitting on a power nexis for magic, and as such has a much higher degree of supernatural activity than normal. I have not been able to track down why there is a feeling of darkness in some neighborhoods, but I have discovered something of great concern.
I have noticed that there is a large number of disappearances in the South Side and Strip District areas of town. Further looking into it suggests a large number of vampires in the area. Vampires are not my specialty so I could use some pointers and/or assistance in reducing their numbers here in the city.

You could try causing a massive flood, that should melt them.

And cause millions of dollars in property damage and possibly kill dozens of people.
Depending how clever the vampires in town are, they might have all their roosts above the floodplain anyway - if PA has a histoyr of flooding and they have been there a while.

True, I was thinking something more localized with fire hoses.

Then you should have said so.

Just get someone to come in and heal your damned leg already. There has to be a spare psychic healer laying around somewhere.

Ron Gale is still willing to help as is Rose, and it seems you need to rejoin the fight sooner as oppsed to later.

They seemed to be all tied up with the situation with Loki.
Aparently not all though
Edited to keep up with the board.

Flooding is not a possibility anyways. Pittsburgh has had severe flooding in the past and the state took measures to prevent it from happening again.

Sounds like a job for Bert's high explosives.
But yeah, flooding wouldn't go so well.

I am really concerned with the high number that seem to be running loose. Some of the long term residents are well aware of the problem but fear it is getting out of hand.

Let me go into a little more detail of what I discovered. There seem to be groups that are doing something about the problem, while others just seem content to just observe it. The groups that are actively fighting the problem seem to be spending almost as much time fighting each other as the vampires, and the vampires are playing them one off another.
The contacts I have made give me access to two of the groups, but I am unsure which side to throw my lot in with. If the information that I am getting is correct though, we are seeing a infestation unlike anything I have heard of before. I believe that we are talking numbers in the hundreds, and they seem to have been here for a while so they are dug in.

My choice would be to either form a third group or play peacemaker. You don't want to put yourself on one side or the other.

I still need a teacher to educate me in the best ways of removing the threat. I know the basics (well at least what I believe the basics are), but I am sure that there are large gaps in my knowledge.

Deathblaster:
nukes set off in a city occupied with innocents = person/people using them being labeled as a terrorist.

Water, Wood, Silver, and Sunlight.
Anything that you can kill with a water pistol isn't that dangerous if you're smart about it. If you're stupid about it you'll die a quick and horrible death.

The weakness to water is countered by the ability to rip limbs off.
Any tactics that you have found effective?

Inside a city water is everywhere. Flowing from taps, through pipes, in ceilings. Similarly wood can be found in most buildings. Know where you're fighting. I'd say go so far as to take some courses on modern architecture.

Screw the water pistol. Get yourself one of those industrial units they use to clean concrete. Those style water-blasters put out a larger amount of water at a higher pressure. Belive me, it helps tear them apart.

Yes, and I used a small commercial pressure washer to help KT and the gang out against Windner and his cronies if you go back and check the thread. There are downsides to using stuff like that though.
Water pistol filled with water: $2 and weighs less than 3 pounds.
Big industrial unit: $Alot Weight: Even More
Plus you can buy water guns by the gross, I know I sent two gross to Ron on Halloween.

Whenever I think vampires and water, I think Raiders of the Lost Ark - long before I think of Wizard of Oz, which, as we all know, I hate.

I am still hoping to test out some new toys. See if they can hold up against a mean old vampire.

We may need to talk, one of my active scanner projects turned out to have an unwanted side-effect on kyuuketsuki, it removes all rational thought from them wheile they are in it's area - fortunately the Yamabushi I was working with was already engaged with the impure lout, and when it got ahold of him I tossed a pan of colloidal silver that I had intended on using in an attempt to adhere to the the things mist to seperate it from teh fog in teh area on film over them both. From the reaction I assume that colloidal silver is a substance they find exeptionally unpleasant.

Do share the results.
I just remembered about this post... it would seem we have a vampire loose way up north on the Kola Peninsula.
