Great, I wonder if I can delegate the paperwork.

Go for it, you're the least retired retired person I know.

Your not bored, you are out of your freacking mind. First you were going to retire. We all know how that went.
Take it who knows it may help keep you out of as much trouble as you get into on your own.

Besides, "BB" could wipe the floor with your "team" anyday in a soft ball game.

Edit: Are you a legal U.S. citizen Pendragon? If you are I will put in a good for ya'.
:)
Yes I am a legal citizen.

Holister you may have noticed that I do not go everywhere with my team. :P
Also it is nice to have the back up when you need it. One of the resons I think you should take the job. Then maybe it will be somebody else having to pull your fat out of the frier besides us.
Soft ball eh? I already have Seraph, and Rose willing to take you up on the challange the others are being talked into it if I know Rose. You may regret this idea.

Your tall tales

Ben is this another one of your tall tales? Considering some of you other erroneous “details” I have borne witness to, I wonder. But if the main message stays true, then I would carefully consider this proposal, if you even can. There is never a “no strings attached” deal.

Having met some of Shadowstalker's team, I would not call them amateurs.

Having found myself in over my head, I echo Shadowstalker's suggestion of having good backup.

Ben, you know what's going to happen . . . you'll enjoy your freedom for a while, then you'll get a target list.

Once you're done with that list, you'll get another target list, this time a few of the targets are a little iffy, but it makes sense to neutralize them.

Then you'll get another target list, only this time all of them are iffy - but no more so than you've allready taken out.

Then you'll get a target list that has things on it you know would be best left alone . . . but you are already in this far. If you try to get out, they may kill you, they may blackmail you with one of those iffy ones being innocent of anything, they may show you photos of Molly playing with her uncle Caine at an undisclosed location . . .

You're giving a guy in the government who is trying to play by his own set of rules plausible deniablity (This guy don't work for us, we declared him insane and drumed him out back in '07, He's obviously more delusional than ever, lock him up and ignore what he says).

What I've heard form you about BB so far made me concerned . . . now I'm convinced. Del Caine is dangerously independant and unfettered by civilian oversight or constitutional legality. Working for him in the capacity so described would put you so far on the wrong side of the law that you might as well hook up with Osama for a roommate.

If you do, you're going to be doing bad things, for a bad man, who will have you in a bad way.

I half expect you're going to find yourself on the opposite side of a skirmish involving some of the folks here if you accept his offer.

If he were a good guy he wou;dn't be trying to operate so far outside of the law with plausible deniability.

Good men don't need to hide from the law Ben.

But what are you serving and protecting Ben, that's the big question.

If you take him up on the offer, I think the answer will be Del Caine and his interests.

Del Caine and I came to an understanding when I joined. I showed him pictures of the car of the last guy who tried to do that to me. It was inside out, upside done, and partially melted. With the pictures was a copy of the Man on Fire DVD.

He hasn't hassled me yet. 8)

Ron raises some good points. I did some checking the first time I heard from Del Caine, Ben is also right in so much as on the offical records say Del Caine is a beuracrat, and he plays the game thou for the most part trying to play straight. This is however not a vote of confidence either as you have pissed him off several times, and he may yet decide to feed you to oversight as a Scapegoat when it serves his needs Ben. Whatever you do play very carefully.
