Something is not right in Whoville

I had a most disturbing encounter a few hours ago, and it has me ready to go into another purge mission like the Sowki did. I had put my daughter to bed at about nine, she was still bounceing around in excitement after her ride with me on the old broom I have. ( I can cast aflight spell on the thing and she loves the idea of being like Harry from a famous set of books.)

I had settled into my study to look into some old texts I picked up in D.C the other day, my ward of alarm in my daughters room began sounding. I rushed in to see a large brutish oaf trying to drag her into a section of wall where a portal was faintly outlined to my mage sight. I called Skullcrusher to my hand and hit the thing at the shoulder holding my baby. It roared in pain and pulled a knife the size of a small sword. I leaped back stumbling on some of the toys in the room and took a defensive stance between my girl and the intruder. A few more hands and faces began moving through the portal to enter my home, I burned a large number of my mentors batteries he had placed in the room to teleport my daughter to one of my safehouse and sent her a message to let her know to stay in the arrival room and the staff would guard her.

The brute charged and swung wildly to try and take me down, I am not the best at hand to hand, but I was able to avoid mostof it's swings. My armor spell stopped the rest of it's attacks. After a few soild hits from me the thing charged the portal to escape, in it's place advanced four more. All of them had deformed features and one even resembaled a minotaur. I cast a globe of daylight to get a better view of the surrondings to prepare for a fight. That's when they screamed in agony and fled into the portal, I gave chase to find out what was going on and who was behind the attack. On the other side of the portal was a relm resembling the ones Eric, Bert and Shadowstalker described in thier earlier posts.

I was now faceing at least two dozen of the things, and they all looked at me with a evil gleamer in their eyes. I was not going to try and deal with them all in hand to hand, I let fly three fireballs from Skullcrusher. At least my magic and her's seemed to function normally here. I began hurling combat spells to clear the area, and needless to say the clothes and socks in the area soon added to the chaos when they ignited. I decided to press on to check on what was here and if there was a mage opening these portals. I ran into a man in flowing black robes who was in the shadows laughing at the way the brutes fled in terror from my spells.

"You show promise as a wizard my boy, join me and we will start a gran age of magic on the world." he hissed in a raspy tone.

"I have no need to start any grand ages, who are you? Are you the one who let those things into my home?"

"No they can get there on thier own. I am the Lord of all Dark Arts, I am the one who will rule all muggles and true bloods alike." he hissed in a almost seductive tone, "I am Lord Voldamort, bow to you new master."

I stared at him for afew moments before I hammered him with energy bolt, I had no time to deal with a delusional fool. In the glow of the bolt he did resemble the charecter from the movie my daughter and I watched before I put her to bed. I began noticeing other things that were from the movie and some of her dream sence she told me of. I started to slowly back toward the portal I came in from, And had to turn to fed off the minitaur that Skullcrusher warned me was lunging at my back. I decided it was time to leave and not waste time, I was not ready for a fight in a dream realm. I began throwing globes of daylight between me and the exit. I hurled one back Voldamort's way and ran to the exit, on the way I took a nasty hit to my left arm and lost all feeling in it, till pain flooded it. I made it out and cast a sealing spell on the portal.

Now I have healed and am trying to relax and plan, I will be stopping in the hospitle to see if I can help KT. If these things are going to start popping out I think he needs to be mobile to safegaurd his family. Shadow let me know if you get any leads on this, I have a score to settle. I guess the kid is not wathing the other movies or readingt he other books till this is over. I don't need soe of the things in them coming into the house.

Okay, we all deal with strange stuff on a regular basis . . . but really, has reality taken it's leave and forgot to give us a contact number?

Maybe there is a restting of the old order where things like this were common occurances going on, or trying to. Look at the number of paranormal evets in the last few months that we know of from each others reports here. How many more do we not know of? I don't know if we are seeing a mild spike or something more devastating in levels of occurance, but I know what happened to me. I have been to at least six other realities, worlds or diminsions, what ever term you care to use. This is not some where I am familiar with. I have been reading through my library looking for references to the Nightmare realm with out luck so far.

Bert thank you for the lesson offer I did not have my pistol and Skullcrusher is starting to let me call and wield her more often, espeacially if my daughter is in danger. I sometimes really hate that mace.

You're welcome. I can also improve your basic hand to hand skills. Although, the mace sounds pretty tempermental and I don't think it'd be happy if you dual wielded weapons.

Damn, when did it become routine for me to personify weapons and not doing so as a literary device?

I don't know if incursions are getting more common so much as the internet is letting us hear about more of them. At least, that is what I hope.

Well with the Sowki and the cult Kolya is investigating, the problems with Khavik it seems to be spreading. We have a cult that DarKnyht has been runnig afoul of, we have members vanishing with out a trace or word from them. The world news is filling with stories that are dismissed as normal, but we see a possible lead to a paranormal angle. I am not saying we need to go on a rampage and blame every story on the paranormal, but we do need to try and check the ones near us. I know there was a run in in California with what sounded like gargoles, and a few other problems we have had more insight in from a few of the more active members.

I don't know if reality is fraying, I do know we have had some pretty nasty things turning up fast after a long period of relitive quite. I remember reading a thread with reference to a Goqua, do we know if there has been anything else on that? That beast is as much a manipilator as any Sowki or Khavik could be. This one works through layers of minions and dupes. I am only remarking on the trends I see here and from a few oher sources I trust. The coming eclipes has me concerned as well, too much paranormal activity too close to it is never good. Keeps good people from use the surge of energy and leaves the lees pleasent ones to monopolize on that energy.

That would be my guess. We're only hearing about them more, or by some stroke of luck (or misfortune) they seem to be targeting us or blundering into us and the areas we operate in.

Bert And I made when we were there said, a Guy calling himself Arthur Nordstrume had stired up the so called King of Nightmares and gave him a hit list of sorts, they worked out some kind of deal I am not sure of the details because our Friend didn't have all of them.
But she did have one detail This Arthur had an Amulet that looked a lot like the Sidhe's Boon, so I think we can safely assume who he really is. Fake Ron.

The name Arthur Nordstrome,e verytime I hear it, it sounds familiar, but I'm not sure where I heard it first. I know it was before Celeste used it.
