Want to do some good and give something extra special to a fellow society member? The member reads these boards, so I cannot say who it is.
Contact me in private for the details...

Twenty monks and one nun, who was named Eshun, were practicing meditation with a certain Zen master.
Eshun was very pretty even though her head was shaved and her dress plain. Several monks secretly fell in love with her. One of them wrote her a love letter, insisting upon a private meeting.
Eshun did not reply. The following day the master gave a lecture to the group, and when it was over, Eshun arose. Addressing the one who had written to her, she said: "If you really love me so much, come and embrace me now."

Participants in Blue Smoke, please report in (and anyone wanting in on the fun).
There has been a slight change in plans.

Sorry about that.
The Society member actively reads the boards, so got to keep it hush-hush.

Well, I am without words.
The object of Blue Smoke - as many of you knew long before I knew - was me.
And I am crying from happiness, gratitude, and appreciation.
Several of our Society members were able to get some time to send me something special. I will thank you personally and publicly, as my free time permits. You just know that I loved everything, and to explain how much I am appreciating all is impossible.
For my dear teammates, I give public thanks to them now:
My birthday was the end of March. I had been away in the States for a long time, long enough for a team to re-make my little shitty apartment. It all new and shiny now with nice European furniture and appliances, fresh wallpaper, and my balcony has a screen! Oi, seriously, it like getting a fresh new home. I still not recognise the place, and feel like a visitor in a rich person's home.
And they not just remake the apartment, they add a few things, from themselfs.
Lyosha, at the time you still rebuilding your apartment, you gave a lot of yourself and money to this project. You made sure all work was properly done and money there to pay for it all, in addition to continuing your duties in fighting our never-ending war with the supernatural.
Kolya, it was all your idea, every tiny detail was your idea. You have melted me. You also bought the new computer and it has so many referencial files and stuff installed. Just perfect. I never knew your heart could be so soft.
Sasha, the book case is just amazingly beautiful, and the books you picked to put there. You replaced my old books, ones falling apart. And the news ones, you were paying attention after all.
Roma, well, what to say. The clothes are exactly my style, and they fit me perfectly. I mean, absolutely perfectly. I love my new shoes, black Chuck Taylor ones. I saw them in States and wanted my own pair. I have new clothes for all the seasons. I never thought I would be so happy about such things.

My ptichka, bless me with a smile and a song, and I could die happy.

The timing and hoops for this one was unbelievable, even for those in our line of work.
Well, Bert, I honestly didn't think you could do it.

I not even want to ask.
Just say again 'thanks'

Shang Li. This present you sent to me arrived in perfect condition, and it is stunningly beautiful - even if I not yet figured all out yet! And you made it by your own hands. It hangs in my room, and it looks like it was made specifically for that time and space, as if it had always been there. Thank you so much!

Oh? I have not seen it yet.

I want to send him a picture, like a 20x25 cm print or something.
It looks so... I not sure "alive" is accurate enough.
Well, it is very awesome nevermind what.

You give me too much credit Ms. Natasha. the copy I sent you is unfortunately a pale imitation to Mr. Miyamoto's work. I fear My skill with the brush has been sadly neglected. You should still find it legible though.

by Natasha
Well, if that is "neglected" ... wow.
I am working on the translation still, in my free time.

I cannot help with the translation, but the prints, sure, no problem.
Shang, I admire your modesty, but she does not go head over heels for "neglected brush strokes". There is something else there. I hope she finds it.

That is what I meant by alive. There is something there. Cool.
