We will be going in tonight to deal with this Sowki and it's minions. If anyone is a praying sort we would appreciate a few for safe return of all Lazlo members going in. I will post my views in the morning if I am able to. Hopefully it will be a route of the foes, and myu mentor will be avenged.

Good luck all! I wish I could be there to help but unlike some of us I can only be in one place at a time.

Great news! Congratulations! I look forward to hearing from you and the gang.

Also, I have something very important to speak with K-dog about.

Gratz. Now, if we can just rack up a few more for our side, that would be good.

Well we went in as planned last night, I'll let the others detail what they did. I teleported into the lair of the Sowki with four goals in mind.
1. Kill the Sowki.
2. KIll the werejaugar that killed my mentor.
3. Run the humans out to the others.
4. Most inportant of all, stay alive.

I went in with almost every storage talisman I have, and qite a few spell talismans as well. I started with a good old call lighting on the Sowki and the werecat, I was warded against the pyshic attacks the Sowki might try and had a armor spell up. Needless to say to anyone out side it probably looked like hell on earth. The Sowki and I hurled every attack spell we knew, I hurled a few that it did not have and we each hammered the other's defenses to try and finish the other. The werecat hung back looking for an opening to attack me while I was distracted.

I had adefinite plan going in to play one the Sowki's arragance, it hammered my armor spell away then a fireball erupted in my face. I fell screaming in pain as flames roared around me, the werecat lunged in to try and finish me. I moved away enough to not be hit full on, the Sowki was already gloating and called the werecat down. He was going to finish me not an underling. This did not go over well with the werecat and an arguement began. I slowly cast my one big spell to really take advantage of the Sowki, an anti-magic cloud. I also cast a wall of force across the only exit from the bunker where we fought, by the time the Sowki relized I had duped it it was too late to escape. Only my mage was going to work now and the wall was not going to be breeched anytime soon.

"you have sealed yourself in with us and now are exhausted of magical energy fool. We will tear you apart and feast on your flesh." came the Sowki's threat.

The werecat growled in agreeance to the idea of makeing me a snack, both began to circle in different directions to take advantage of my being in the middle of the room.

More later sleep and fatiuge are catching up again, I promise not to make this into a Bert or Celeste style post. Most defientely not a Holister type either.

Hey! I resemble that remark!

Speaking of running out of Magic Mojo, if at any point you want gun training come and see me. Pistols don't take magic to use. We can set ya up with a great backup weapon.

Bert, Ron, or I can do weapons training. Though I'm sure the two of them are better with firearms, and I know Ron has the facilities.

My post is coming soon, too.

Not enough hours in the day - fires starting all over the place in Kabardino-Balkaria and mobile does not stop ringing.

At least I am heading back to Russia, but it looks like the team might be staying for a while, at least Sasha and Natasha have some work left here. If they are needed in Russia, of course, they will have to drop what they are doing... so getting some timelines regarding their committments together is a priority for me right now.

Good luck Koyla.

I think Sasha wants to commit to staying here long enough for me to pimp his AN-94. Other than that, as useful as he is, when you need him, he's yours.

Oh yea, I can see the requests now.

He asked for flashlights to be welded to his katana yet?

Thanks Sasha.. I needed to laugh... even if it was at your expense.

Not yet, but he has been drooling over a wrist mounting that can fit a tactical flashlight.

I'll let him have one of my LED Headlamps. (Think a Miner's Light but lightweight, you can wear it with a strap without a helmet, runs forever, and you have the option of running on one LED, 3 LEDs or 1 super bright zenon bulb.)

Oh it has different settings. Are you sure you still have it? ;)

If he says he already has a few, he probably does, but that does not matter. Every light is like the first light....

When I heard of Sasha's collecting, I put my flashlights in a lock box

I'm going to kill you, Kolya.

Seriously, that is a sweet light, Bert. Does it have a strap that goes over the top of the head, or just around above the ears? If so, is it removable? I could probably cut it off, huh? Wow. Thanks... sweeeet!

Bert, Ron, and dickhead (Kolya), as an fyi... I am in search of a stenlight. Do you know where I could...procure one? A princeton tec apex would work, too, although any sports store might carry one of those beauties. Probably need a caver shop to find a sten... any cavers here in DC?

Its on an elastic headband, thing. One going around your head front to back like a sweatband, and another elastic piece going over the top. And, no you can't just take it off of the band (and cutting it off would ruin the purpose of the light being hands free) but you can put it on over hats and helmets and such.

Washington DC does have a National Speleological Society Grotto.. oh, stenlight goddess, smile down upon me.

I understand about the light, thanks Bert. Depending on the interface between light and strap, you can bolt them to helmets - right above where the main light on a strap sits, for example, or to other objects for other applications.

Well when I left off the Sowki and werejaugar were circling to take advantage of me and the lack of escape. I was not raised to be a fool and relized I was going to be in great pain or dead if I tried to take them both alone. I tapped the call button on the radio Shadow supplied.

"Shadow I could use help with a werecat."

I blasted the werecat with a bolt of telekinetic energy and hurled her into the Sowki. The fighting got very deadly from here as magic was tossed aside to go in hand to hand, my mentor's old mace was singing in glee at the idea of destroying the demon that killed her friend. I hate that mace, always did insult me and bite when I was told to retrive her. The Sowki tried every trick it could to finish me, eventried bribing me to let it flee in exchange for it's spell tomes. It promised me anything my heart desired in exchange for it's life.

"Anything I wish for huh?" it nodded smiling, "I want the man who was my father, friend and mentor back. Oh..wait you had him killed, then I guess I need to return the favor."

The demon's head did not win the hrdness test the mace inflicted, when all was quiet Felt sick and ached over every square inch of my body. I have never channeled so much power through myself under such a stressful situation. My first instinct was to lay down and sleep, but I knew that would have to wait. We still had a clean up to run, and there were people who would need healing to live through the night. I found out a few hours later that I had some severe burns and a few cracked ribs, my left knee was killing me from a tackle by the werejaugar. I still feel kind of empty, even knowing that the murders are delt with. That old man was the only father figure I have ever known, even though he rufused to allow me to call him father or anything close to that. I am going to bed now as I have begun to babble in a typed post. If I rember anymore details I will post them if you wish to read a rehashing of my previous posts.

Thanks to Shadow, Athena, Dusk, Mask and Nightengale from the home team. And to Kolya, Natasha, Roma and Lyosha from the visiting team. And to everyone who offered advice and words of encouragement and comfort.
