Alignment in the celestial sphere

I never read a connection, except in astrology, that alignments in the celestial sphere are significant, supernaturally speaking.

Anyone have any information otherwise?

We have the lunar eclipse soon, and any info why it might be important to men of magic can help. Maybe nothing at all, just personal importance or some way to keep time. Hell knows.

Damn, I forgot to keep up with this one... When's the eclipse coming? Everything's been so damned hectic, I can't even tell you when the next full moon's gonna be...

As to the relationships between zodiac signs (both eastern and western) in the paranormal, it would seem to me that the relationships assigned to the different signs have little actual basis in reality. Therefore, I'd say they have little actual basis in paranormal abilities, either.

As for the eclipse... It depends. To mystics, particularly mystics who align themselves with the night (such as myself), it can mean a boost in personal energies, or peaks in the potencies of one's spells. To sorcerors (those who learn their magic through books and study as opposed to intuitively or from spirits, like mystics do)...well, it depends from one sorceror to the next, I suppose, though I'd say that it doesn't seem to affect most of their magics, much.

Maybe Michael could fill you in a bit better on how it does/doesn't affect mages of his type...?

The next eclipse is 3 March 2007.

Michael is so busy now. I read specific topics, too, from his library. I find nothing about eclipse. I have the feeling that the eclipse is just the way to mark time here.

I hope, but I continue to search...

And thank you for the reply KT. Everything helps.

No serious investigator into the paranormal considers and eclipse merely a celestial phenomenon. I am on alert and out on the streets eveyr eclipse.

That is why I search and search and search.

It feels wrong to say "it just the time keeper" ... but I not find anything that tells straightly, "on full lunar eclipse, the werebeasts come to play."

And if I find such the text, well, lunar eclipse is possible only at Full Moon anyway. So maybe just the full moon, but eclipse.

Grrr.

Perhaps you shouldn't be looking for things about eclipses. Perhaps you should look for things about religion and magic that may contain information about eclipses.

Wicca, Druidry, Paganism, magic, magick, sorcery, witchcraft... all good placeses to look, usually in that order. The moon does play a significant role in affecting the supernatural.

Well some places of power spike under a eclipses' heigth, some times nexus open and place that have no power suddenly have a spike for the time of the eclipse. There are other myths and stories that go with the eclipse and I would love to go over them but I need to prepare to play tactical nuke on a Sowki.

I am interested, Michael. We can talk a bit after the operation, I hope.

Thanks Ron and Razor. I am looking everywhere...

The Torii open at eclipse time, if they were built right. If the Torii and the associated shrine have been properly made one of the Kami will come through and inhabit the shrine untill it is not given the proper amount of respect and it then leaves. The kami, and unfortunately the yokai, run rampant on such days(along with the solstices - it is why there are so few rituals on solstice days here - priests are all too busy)
