My 24 hours: captured and rescued

Post by Natasha »

As always, I cannot tell everything and sometimes only the vague details...

Yesterday I wanted to buy the MP3 player. I come out from the gas station and two men attack me. One from them grabbed me and I kicked my knee to his balls. He fell backwards. I used my pepper spray on another man. But the third man I never saw. Behind me, he grabbed me and tossed me into their car. Beh, I am the fighter, you know. Quickly they weared a bag on my head. One from them punched me and I passed out.

I woke up in the total darkness. Instead of clothes I wore such sheet with a hole for to put my head. The floor was cold and all in mud. I did not have my shoes. Because of the walls, I knew I stayed underground. Using my hands, I digged small holes for to build a ladder in the wall. 3 meters of depth, and the heavy plate over the pit. To escape was impossible.

Then I heard the voice of Lyosha. Using his psionics he appeared next to me, and we quickly spoke because had little time. "The tracker worked, we know your location," he explained. "What you require?" he asked. "Shoes, sports pants, and hair clip," I told him. "Ok," he replied. Then he disappeared.

Some time goes, and I hear something. Over my head I heard the team. Then the plate moved a bit, and then I saw the lights. Kolya and Sasha lifted the plate and Lyosha pulled me from the pit. He dropped shoes and sports pants. I weared the pants and shoes. Then Lyosha gave me the hair clip, pistol, nightvision goggles, and radio. I weared the clip, goggles, and radio.

Vague details...we escaped from the area.

"Why suddenly so much resistance appeared?" Vlad asked.

Sasha replied, "He (the witch) called the forces. He knew we come. Witches have the Sixth Sense. Some can fly, most have the spies, too. With difficulty the witch is surprised."

As they say, the plot thickens.

Damn. See? This is what happens when you complain about being bored in this line of work! Never taunt Murphy!

Well, I'm glad you made it out safe and well. If I wasn't so busy in Podunk, America I'd give you a hand.

This is going to be a tough nut to crack.

I'd napalm the place if I could, but we want the witch alive so maybe we can convince his demon bitch will come out to play, too.

Yes, I've learned not to taunt or tempt the Fates, or Murphey. Rarely do I state aloud to the supernatural or the universe that I am bored. I get un-bored really damn fast.

Which reminds me, I haven't put out an update on the vampire situation here in a while.

I'm afraid it's a habit she picked up from me. I need to be doing something or I get restless, so I say I'm bored a lot.

We finally get Natasha out of the library and into the field... hopefully she appreciates the on-the-job training.

Indeed Bert, but by that time it was too late.

"Submit" and out the door... I really did not know she could move so fast. Poor girl. Living with us might just be worse than shivering in that little mud pit where we found her last night.

Women can be fast when they want to be... which is rarely ever the case when the guys have got somewhere to be, and she's still getting ready in the house and we are waiting in the car/truck. :P

I am relived to hear you are in good condition, Ms. Natasha. I have not forgotten your help with my student, (Sorry I have not sent the sample, I have had other matters that require my attention more)

If there is anything I can do to help just let me know, I would be honored to assist in whatever small ways I can.

You send when it is possible. I am occupied, too, so all is OK.

I keep in mind your offer, too. I immediately contact you if I think how you can help. Thanks.

Hi Ron. Thanks!

Yes, their action was the great personal (and professional) risk for all the guys. I begin to deeply feel the loyalty and "brothers in arms" attitude the guys already developed for each other. So much in me changed last days. It overwhelms me a bit.

I take your advice completely. I can see this in the guys. They already create plans. They already dropped three of them. Before today, I probably could not detect the anxiety.

To clear their heads, Kolya arranged the meeting. In almost 1 hour we visit the gun range. Several days ago I would reply, "No, thank you." Today, I happily go. We will have fun. I still not the fighter, and not want to be, but I will shoot the guns M4A1 and MP5 with selector on "full". Up to now I only trained to shoot the pistol.

Ron, there is no better way to describe this gun.

I jump on any opportunity to fire this gun.

Could not get the gun out of her hands.
She herself fired almost a case of ammo... great fun.

Wish I could have stayed longer.

The MP-5 is a nice firearm, I personally don't care for automatics. If you can't take it out with one good shot, then don't waste your time.

Nastasha, I read about your ordeal. Glad to see you recovered from it so quickly. You do know it was the Lazlo curse right. You claimed you were bored, look what hapened. I said I was bored, and some evil professor turns me into a living puppet for a week.

If you want to shoot a real gun, you have to try my Model 350 RAI.
A nice long range rifle with a .50 cartridge. As Bert once put it, a sniper shooting this rifle would be committing a war crime.

Its got power, but fires nice and clean. You should be able to handle it ityou ever want to give it a shot. :D

Unfortunately Ben, a lot of the things we have to shoot in this line of work don't follow the laws of physics or biology, so one big hole won't always be better than a couple of dozen little holes.

And before someone points at my shotguns, I use shotguns because they provide me the easiest and quickest way to deliver a variety of payloads so I can be sure I have the right tool for the target.

Yes, a shotgun is quite a useful tool in this field. *has to get a new one soon... * Hmmm... Hey Ron, when I go shopping I might wanna compare prices.

Hi Razor...you want a shotgun, save yer cash. I give ya one when you come to get you puppy. I have to tell you though, its not a purebreed. The mother is a Golden Retriever, old Duke is the happy father.

(Another WOOF! is called out across the boards)

Good boy Duke.

If you want one, sure, ol Am is estimating bout 6 - 9 pups.

Bah, purebreeds are overrated sometimes. So when should we expect the pups?
