Serious Problem in SoCal

While this is only my second post here I figured it was about time I made myself known. Normally I would have no need to discuss what goes on with my team and myself here in SoCal, but recent events have caused me to seek out assistance, a lot of assistance. And from what I can tell, you are the people to come to.

I really don’t know how to start explaining the events of last weekend, but here is what I can say from what happened. A large group, at least thirty or more, of what I would have to classify as demons has moved into my area sometime in mid-December. I have no idea what they are, as I’ve never seen or studied anything that mentions or explains these creatures, however I don’t question how dangerous they are. These creatures killed six heavily armed psychic investigators in less than five minutes. While any description I could give wouldn’t explain much, I will explain further on. I was a little too busy running for my life to take detailed notes.

My team and I were investigating a report of slaughtered horses on a ranch in a rural part of East San Diego County. Our investigation led us to an abandon barn in a valley roughly half a mile from where the horses were killed. Upon arrival we discovered a pack of five demonic dogs, “Hell Hounds” if you will, feasting on the corpse of a deer. We quickly neutralized them and decided to make a search the area just in case there were more monsters lurking around. We should have just left. James, our group’s psychic pyro, discovered a cave partially covered by some brush, upon moving the brush all hell broke loose. I heard James cry out as something came from the cave and grabbed him, but by the time I turned around it was too late, the creature that had grabbed him had torn him apart. After the first one had cleared the mouth of the cave a flood of them came running out. These creatures were easily 8 feet tall and heavily muscled humanoids. They had dark yellow, almost golden colored skin, long black claws on their hands, and large black wings. Those are all the details I saw before I opened fire with my M-16. It would have been a boost to the group’s morale if the bullets they were firing had done more than miniscule damage to the creatures. After our healer and out physical psychic went down I, along with the remaining team members, decided running might be a good idea. Lana, or group sensitive and I made a break for my Jeep which was parked with the rest of the groups vehicles in a clearing at the end of an old dirt road just through a stand of trees about 300 feet from where we were standing. I could hear what I guessed were some of the creatures taking to the air, I could almost feel the force of their flapping wings. Lana and I made it to the trees when we heard another team member cry out, I’m not sure who it was, I didn’t want to look back. Something swooped down from about and crashed into the trees and we were running through them, one of the fell only a few inches to my left. A second later Lana and I cleared the trees and made it into my Jeep. I started it up and got going down that dirt road as fast as I could but it was almost to no avail. Two of the creatures came down on top of my Jeep from the sky and started tearing the roof and right side apart. Despite my best efforts and a few shots from my .45 the monsters tore most of the roof and the passenger door off the Jeep, mind you, my Jeep was a 1991 Cherokee Sport. Before I could stop or even shoot one of the tore Lana out of the vehicle, seat and all. After that all I remember is the tree I hit. I woke under a pile of leaves, plants and dirt when the sun came up. I must have been thrown 25 feet clear of the Jeep when it hit. I barely managed to crawl back to the wreckage and find my satellite phone to call in someone to get me. While I could be better off, at least I’m not dead. I have no idea what became of the rest of my team but I would imagine the worst sense none of them have contacted me.

I need people down here, anyone, everyone, someone. I could care about the means of elimination, these creatures present a serious threat to my city and possible to everyone else. However, like I said previously, I only saw roughly thirty of them, there may be many more. We won’t know until a group can go in and investigate. Someone please help before more good people end up dead.

Thank you for reading…

At last report, Huntress and McVay were in LA.

But they haven't checked in for almost a month.

Our work may be overlapping. Let's talk. I should be back in LA real soon now.

Ron, if you happen to hear from either of them please have them PM me. L.A. is about 250 miles from where everything happened, but they might have a better idea of what the creatures are.

Kolya, I'll PM you when I return home tonight. I'm sure you'd be a great asset to us.

As for right now I'm tracking down a man who might have some ideas about stopping the creatures. I just hope he hasn't left the area...

Is his first name really Timothy? Unfortunate.

Ok Kolya, I'll be picking you up from LAX and we'll be returning to San Diego to start the investigation. Just let me know when you're flight arrives, and seeing as how I'm currently lacking my Jeep, I'll be driving a black '96 Isuzu Rodeo. It shouldn't be too hard to spot seeing as how it's right hand drive. If you have any further questions PM me.

Flight lands at 8:35 this evening. Probably will be late; they are always late.

That is enough time to gear up, head down to San Diego, and start fresh in the morning on the investigation.

If you guys can get any more details about these things and haven't figured out what they are by the time I'm next on, I'll do what I can to get what info I can about them. If I don't know what they are, I know of several people that probably do.

In the meantime, keep a dog and a cat around you at all times when you're in that area. A lot of times, for whatever reason, animals tend to be pretty effective at warding off the stronger demonic entities. I would strongly suggest a tortoiseshell calico for the cat, and a dog capable of defending itself. Doesn't have to be one that's bred mean, though.

Just to update, I picked Kolya up from LAX very early Wednsday morning. He wasn't kidding when he said the plane wound be late, but that's really no big deal. We drove back down to San Diego and got some much needed rest. The rest of Wednsday wes spent prepairing our gear for the mission ahead.

Today we took a trip down to the scene to get a look around, but due to the slightly wet weather, and a narrow dirt road that had been turned into a creek, we couldn't make it all the way down to where eveything happened. It figures, San Diego is a sunny paradice until I need it to be. Anyways, We're going to try going down there again tomorrow with my lifted Ford so even if it's still wet we can continue on. More Later...

Greetin's From Maine

Well I have t say, that there is no more loyal, faithful, and great canine companion as a good ol' German Shepard, " Ain't that right Duke? " (Woof!) That's right. Ol' Duke here took on a werewolf without givin' it a second thought to save my life. Duke also took on a hellhound and scared that ugly SOB all but good. He's also very good with children, housebroken, and my best buddy. Nothing like going huntin' wih a big ol' Shepard righ by ya' side.

As for your other problem there fella, may I suggest .50 ammo in very large quantities, preferably belts of 200 to 300, mabe a nice Browning Machinegun to fir ite, and few Flashbangs and frag grenades for good measure. Never hurts to be prepared.

Oh, and Ron, why on earth would ya' name YOUR cat, "Mr.Fluffers"? Just curious bout that one...b-?[/quote]

Yea, German Shepherds are very good dogs, and I have worked with a few.

Karelian bear dogs are a little closer to home, and have earned their name and more.

Ron sort of inherited the cat which was already named - I think so anyway.

Yeah...but still..."Mr.Fluffers".
It just raises so many questions?
And I personally would take Ron for a Pit Bull or Rotweiller type, a cat named "Mr.Fluffers" ??????It just raise so many questions.

Yes, he inherited the cat from an autistic savant girl that helped him out when he was in the looney bin. She gave him the cat at the end of that incident, and he got all straightened out. Now that cat acts as a partner on the street, warning him when things are lurking nearby, sniffing people and things out, and just generally playing guardian a the right moments.

Personally, I wish I still had a cat that was that valuable and reliable.

We'll be heading out soon to start our investigation. And of corse last night mother nature has to toss another factor into the mix. While 3 inches of snow don't trouble most people in the east, 3 inches of snow in the local mountians causes all kinda of problems here. Luckily the sun is back and the sky is clear. I just hope my old Ford is up to getting down that dirt road. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

As pointed out, Mr. Fluffers ain't my cat, I jsut take care of him and vice versa.

My big problems with dogs is they are too agressive when you get to close to these things. As soon a s a dog detects the supernatural he starts to growling. Soon he's barking and you have no chance to sneak up whatsoever.

When a cat notices there's somehtign there, the first thign it does is arch it's back and stand it's fur up on end - but unless it feels the beastie knows it's there, it stays quiet.

Now I might not be as quiet as a cat, but a dog will give itself away long before I ever will.

Another good thing about cats is they know when to run. Standing and fighitng when you should run away is a fast route to joining the Lazlo Hall of Fame - Posthumously.

I still rather have ol Duke here right by my side rather than Felix The Cat anyday. Sides, ya can train a dog not to react that way.

Back to the point at hand, I think that ya gotta a Gargoyle problem out there is SoCal there guy. Talk to Bert about some serious firepower. If ya do got Gargoyles out there, your gonna need it.
