Dybbuk Advice

Afternoon gang,
My Investigative team just had a run in with what our Parapsychologist referred to as “Demon Ghoul” or the Dybbuk. I was unfortunalty out of this particular investigation as I was on a job, but as the gang explained it to me, they found a potential Dybbuk weakness. They are vulnerable to Electricity, and can be electrocuted to death.
I am telling this story third hand, but the story all four of them told me went like this. Our Latent Psychic had a precognitive dream the night before about a child being pulled underground by an “oil snake” and the team deducted that it was a pretty literal translation that a child would indeed be kidnapped that day. After several hours of searching with nothing to really go on, by luck they caught the news while eating, which led them to a newly created sinkhole in a local park, which was passed off as a random natural act by the authorities (living on fault lines in California can give great excuses that way.) They had to find another method of entry to avoid the public.
The team has a retired History Professor (an occultist in his private life) who has old friends the geology dept at his University, and pulled some strings to look over the storm drain systems blueprints in the area (they suspected the child was alive and was needed for something and a storm drain is the best place to stow him. There insights served them well.
They traveled through the storm drain and indeed found the child in a tool & equip storage room. They said the door looked like it had been kicked off its hinges and left that way, but there was no monster or anything else in sight. The “Oil snake monster” was believed to be a “Minor” Earth Elemental, and the team was preparing to face one, but instead the room was empty. As the team looked over the child for injuries and throughout the rest of the storage room, they described the eerie silence of the storm drain being interrupted by the sound of a dragging chain on concrete coming from just outside the doorway.
They said this hulking four-armed beast came though the door (which was apprearently a tight fit) dragging a length of chain behind it with a handcuff system rigged on each end. They deducted that it came to take the child to who was commanding/controlling it. The team was trapped in the room suddenly and had to take action, the beast took one look at them all and then took the chain in its massive hands and looked like it was ready to strangle each one in turn.
Our Ghost Hunter and Parapsychologist deserve a note of admiration for their next action. While in hindsight, bringing a super soaker to spray at an earth elemental may not have been the best weapon for the job (its said they are vulnerable to water, but I think a fire hose would be needed for the job), but making use of the tools on hand the Ghost Hunter sprayed the soaker at the Dybbuk’s face in an attempt to distract and possibly blind it so the Latent Psychic could take the child and sneak out behind it. But then the parapsychologist came upon a great idea in conjunction and took a near by tool (crowbar I think) and quickly pried open a rusted out copper pipe holding the electrical wiring to part of the lighting system in the room. Long story short, the piping was set loose, a live wire was created, which in turn was dropped in the pool of water the soaked Dybbuk was standing in.
They all agreed that the beast let out a loud and terrible roar that must have carried thoughout the entire system and they all suffered being partially deaf the rest of the day. They said all it could do was scream and flail its arms for what seemed like ages (seemed like it was in too much pain to move), until it finally just suddenly stopped moving altogether, and fell face first onto the floor. They also noted the Dybbuk discorporated in only about a minute after being a steaming, stinking husk into hundreds (perhaps thousands) of tiny beetles (which crawled everywhere, including all over the team), and then they turned into evanescence after a minute or so.
The team left the storm drains and had our police detective contact return the missing child to his family. We are happy with this outcome since the child will live to tell the tale (and tell a wild story of a monster in the sewers that no one will really believe) and no one in the party was injured thanks to the quick thinking and action, but we have unanswered questions at this time after the conflict. Where was the earth elemental? Who is controlling/commanding his and Dybbuk? Our investigation continues on the subject. But if you didnt know before, in the future if you face a Dybbuk, sunlight works best, but electroction will work as well.
