Odd Death

Hey gang,

I thought I'd share a rumor I'd heard but haven't been able to confirm. I know it's not really scientific, but maybe someone else can run down a confirmation for us. Apparently the other night the police found a body in Central Park. Tis itself is not unusual, they find lots of bodies there.

The oddness is that the victim apparently died of a snakebite over night n a night in which the temperature was well below freezing. Snakes, being cold blooded, go into torpor at such low temperatures and shouldn't hae been able to deliver such a bite. That's just ignoring the fact that there really aren't poisonous snakes loose in the city.

Anyway, thought this was weird enough that someone might want to take a look.

I wonder why they decided on snake bite? Was it from the toxicology report or were there bite marks or both?

I wish I knew. I've checked the publicly available stuff and no such case has been reported by the NYPD . . . well they did find a dead John Doe in the park around the time the rumor talks about, but nothing about cause of death or anything.

An unusual animal attack to be sure. There are some reports of lycanthropy, or more technically therianthropy involving serpent forms, It is theoretically possible for one of those such creatures to remain active for at least breif periods in below freezing weather.

I would be interested in looking into this Hannah, is it possible for you to provide the source of the rumor?
